Something about how Shoko is just as much of a prodigy as Satoru and Suguru were, and that in a fair system which valued healers and other skills aside from fighting more equally, she would’ve been more appreciated and recognised. If you ask me, Satoru and Shoko are the backbones of Jujutsu Society. We saw how fast it collapsed when Satoru went out of commission, but I fully believe that if Shoko ever went out of commission the impact of that would have been just as devastating.

I always assumed Gojo picked up Megumi in his third year at JJT, a few months after Suguru defected (Riko’s death takes place in their second year, and then a year later Suguru leaves) but this can’t be right because Megumi was already a first grader, and because of their ages, Megumi is like 4 during Gojo’s third year. Japanese children start elementary school the April after they turn 6, and Gojo would be 19 when Megumi is 6. But he’s still in his school uniform when he meets Megumi

This lead me down a rabbit hole and I found two people saying that the school used to have a five-year program instead of a four-year one, and Gojo met Megumi in his fifth year — which makes sense for the timeline, but does anyone have a source for it?

Does anyone have ideas of what a cursed speech domain expansion could be like? Ofc ignoring the problem that Toge cannot cash domain expansion because SAYING a domain expansion would cause the people in his vicinity to also cast it. But ignoring that, any ideas?

I see the common one is like an echo chamber sort of deal where the command reverberates so the opponent is hit with cursed speech multiple times, but based on how Toge’s technique works I’m not sure this is viable. When using a recording of his voice, Toge still gets backlash when it is played and his technique is activated, so the echo would just cause Toge backlash multiple times too

the way naruhata is introduced as a generally "bad" neighborhood that slipped through the cracks of the hero system. the way koichi and pop are stepping up to keep their community just a little safer and cleaner and nicer and more fun through everyday actions. the way the little festival at the mall brings heroes and spotlights local artists in an otherwise overlooked community. the way that even though knuckleduster has his own agenda, he's always there to try and help by trying to track down what's happening with trigger. the way everyone from naruhata we've met in the manga comes together for pop step when she needs it. the way the problem is always first and foremost the system (mostly the police) and the solution is first and foremost community. the way that vigilantes shows that anyone, truly anyone, can be a hero. all it takes is to care about others and take the leap and dare to fly. and if you fall? well, you just have to learn how to do it the right way and keep getting back up again.

I need to tell you about the easiest way I explained how quirks basically are in the MHA world to my friend when we were talking once.

I said:

"Basically, having a quirk whatever kind, even if you are a Heteromorph or cannot turn off your quirk you are like a person with a car and you drive your car, whether or not you are born like, with a car body or just own a car or just in some way have a car you have a quirk.

a quirkless people are people without cars.

the government is like: you cant drive a car unless you have a license.

even the person whi is connected to the car and that is basically your body and you cannot move unless you move the car.

BUT YOU DONT HAVE A LICENSE, if you dont have a license you cannot drive the car because the government said so because the the people without cars dont have cars so if they cant drive neither can/should you.

if you drive your car without a license your going to jail.

so people get license so they can drive their car even if they dont particularly want to be a hero"

I feel like this is an unpopular opinion, but more people should read incomplete/unfinished/in-progress fanfics.

I've noticed this huge trend where creators on tiktok and tumblr who will be explaining how to use Archive Of Our Own to new users and they always say "and make sure to scroll down and click completed only" or how people will go out of their way to mention they only read completed fics 'because they were traumatized when they forgot to check the dates and didn't realize this fic hadn't been updated since 2012'.

The thing is - I think by not engaging with and/or actively avoiding writer's WIPs readers are potentially adding to the aggregate of abandoned works. Now this obviously isn't the case for all abandoned fics, anything from major life events, to loss of interest, to getting busy can be a reason for a fic getting abandoned - but at least on some level I just know that writers are quitting while they're ahead when they aren't garnering any response or feedback because reading WIPs has become unpopular. If you're worried about reading something that hasn't been updated since 2012 then you can use the date updated function to sort out old fics.

Anyways, support your favorite fanfic writers by engaging with their WIPs.

Yes exactly this! I love subscribing to fics forgetting about them a bit and then being pleasantly surprised when they update again and they show up in my inbox. It makes me feel like I'm a Charles Dickens fan living in 1830s London waiting patiently for his new chapter to be released via the daily paper.

Frankly sometimes fics that are incomplete and haven't been updated since 2012 are just worth the read anyway. The story may never have a conclusion, but I have found abandoned works with concepts that no one else is writing. What's there can be incredibly well-executed, emotionally affecting, and inspiring.

So, I don't know, if everything else about the tags and description appeals to you, maybe consider clicking on it knowing full well the work will never be completed.
