i love her. i’m so glad she said something.
I'M DONE WITH THAT STUPID TEST
People demand fans of colour to be soft & gentle & have articulate thought out criticisms at all times. Never be wrong never be loud never be mean you have to coddle White fans and creatives, otherwise you're part of the problem. Never mind that your whole experience in fandom has been one macroaggression after another. Never mind that fandom can never be your escapism, because the discrimination you face in real life is often present in both the media you love and the fandom you participate in. Never mind that even when you are soft & gentle & articulate people will still get angry. Just shut up and let White people go to their beautiful fantasy world where people like you don't exist
Robby + taking accountability for his actions
funny little headcanon is that i believe if victoria ever came out to her mom that shamsi would be like 'okay, that's fine. but i still don't understand why you do not want to go into surgery. all the other gay women are in surgery; do you not want to be a gay surgeon like yolanda and emery? what about your lesbian friend trinity, doesn't she want to do surgery as well? you can do better victoria'
i can't be the only one who assumed eddie stole that car in mother's boy right
her favourite character from the pitt is victoria javadi ⋆˖𝜗ৎ°
samira mohan...you care too much, your patient satisfaction score too high...robby is gonna kill you...

some first red flags about the Pitt’s “realism” were all the way back in season 1. Remember when Santos threatened that father who may or may not have been molesting his kid? Remember when Robby REFUSED to report or investigate??
Yeah well there was a lot of (rightful) criticism around that scene. Doctors spoke up and said that you only need a suspicion to report something for CPS to VISIT. This doesn’t go on some kind of record for the parent and it’s weird that Robby would be so hesitant. Especially with a child’s mental and physical health on the line.
Then, knowing the child will be living exclusively with her father now that her mother’s imprisoned, I found the Santos scene odd. Threatening the abuser will most likely lead to him punishing the victim for speaking out. I know the show was trying to show how badass Santos is (and she is) and give insight into her backstory, BUT I’m not really a fan of sexual assault storylines being used to advance the story-arcs of others, or show how gold-hearted they are, when doing so just brings more risk to the actual victim.
AND THEN the worst thing is that they did it again. In season 2. Robby said the same thing, that they wouldn’t report. They could have totally reported.
I remember reading about how concerned ppl were abt this. They said there shouldn’t be misinformation about these types of procedures and they’re right. There shouldn’t be.
Realism, or something being “realistic,” is a narrative tool. Nothing can ever be fully realistic in story telling. The point is to give the impression that it is and that’s where the art lies.
So while child abuse happens and even false allegations happen, I found the way the show handled it to be unrealistic for actual scenarios. It was pretty obviously story driven.
But now, when they say that Samira Mohan leaving is just “realistic” for a hospital is SUCH obvious crap. Sirs you are writing this story. There is intention behind everything. Don’t pretend that this hospital is real and Gloria came down with her clipboard in the writer’s room and said: “You know we need to make some cuts. Let’s start with Samira. Randomly cut all her scenes.”
No one’s forcing anyone’s hand. So I’m just wondering like what happened? Why was she cut? They’re back peddling on all their answers so that’s super promising lol.
truly I do think “baran relies on understanding the rules so she knows how to break them safely and so she can build others’ confidence in her” and also “baran relies on understanding the rules so she knows there’s a safety net if and when she spaces for a moment or two during her seizures” are both very very meaningful character beats for a meticulous character I just. I love her a lot

for @martyreddie
buck really did reply to tommy's disbelief that eddie is straight with the absolute extreme escalation of "i don't have to want to sleep with everyone i have feelings for, and i don't have to have feelings for everyone i sleep with." okay then. what are we doing. what the hell sure. insert other such sayings here. because what.
