When a second body is found inside the coffin of dead art collector Georg Khalkis, all hell breaks loose in a huge cast of characters that all are trying to get at... something! Whether it's a (possible) Leonardo da Vinci painting, the missing will, or just a really big bed that everyone sleeps in, we're gonna do our best to keep track of everything. Which one of you flatfoots stole my will?!

We debate the possible motives and killers, lounge around with Shimada and Kawaminami as they investigate, and discuss the possibility of our own murder mystery island vacation one day. Oh baby, we just fought uphill and back, through two anime conventions, illness, and more life stuff, but we made it! Schlock Homes is complete. Bathroom readers were not meant to be shotgunned back-to-back like this. However, we still find some fun bits to appreciate, like Homes and Watney's excessive drinking, Watney's desire to watch cartoons, art history humor for Rose, and several goofy punctuation jokes that work amazingly on the page but are a bit harder to describe. We discuss the first appearance of the bestest little guy Dog, the wise-beyond-her-years neighbor girl Audrey, and of course, the (technically) first time Gwyneth Paltrow is on film. Yes, we talk about Goop. Also, we make an announcement at the end: Dessy will be stepping back from the podcast for a bit due to scheduling and personal reasons, but don't worry! Anytime things line up, we'll have them back on (they just won't be a regular for the time being). Whenever a new AA game comes out though, we'll be sure to reunite the full cast, so... Capcom? Wake Up Dead Man

Join us as Ben, Dessy, Tiago, and Rose cover the inspirations behind Ace Attorney! Except, this time it's something inspired by the inspirations we've covered so far! Wake Up Dead Man is the latest Benoit Blanc mystery film from Rian Johnson, of Knives Out fame. This time going for a dark, gothic mystery bathed in religion, Blanc assists Father Jud who's (of course) been accused of murder. A big, stellar cast, excellent cinematography, and plenty of humor keep us entertained this time around, although we do have a few critiques as well! We dive into just how Catholic this movie is, the excellent performances from Josh O'Connor and Daniel Craig, and we even have our usual diversions to talk about another movie or two. Join us, won't you?
