top 5 most cringe cycling moments you witnessed

hi évo! incredible question that made me relive a bunch of moments i've been trying to forget <3 i realise that 3/5 of these are technically only cycling adjacent and there might be a bit of recency bias going on here but in no particular order:

julian alaphilippe 2025 tdf stage 15 celebrating 3rd because he thought it was 1st. i know that other cyclists have either celebrated too early or mistakenly celebrated wins before but this is the first one i remember seeing and i had such awful secondhand embarrassment from it. AND he'd been through the horrors that day with his shoulder which made it even worse.

whatever the hell happened at e3 this year that race was cringe to ME. i think this is the race that made me realise that there's a major loser mentality issue in the peloton

the remcolipo video from the tour this year. awful video why did they make them do that LMAO

the tadej pogačar covid rap. this might be one of the most painful things i've ever had to watch in my life. the audio itself is just about tolerable but the video itself... excruciating

the mvdp post-roubaix interview from this year where he lost the ability to speak english and tried to play it off as a language thing even though the interviewer spoke dutch. incredible
