GENEVIEVE — she’s pretty confident and centered in her sense of self! she likes herself! the only problem is pesky irrational anxiety which she would love to be rid of! from a young age she has greatly built up her strength physically and magically so I had to nerf her by giving her mental illness lmao she’s generally ok at calming herself down with meditation but recently?! things have been Horrible and she’s due for some colossal break downs

MALAZAR — OH BOY! his sense of self is fucking nonexistent tbh like he doesn’t really know who he is or what he wants? he doesn’t like or dislike himself cause there really isn’t anything there of substance to latch onto? he only very recently left an abusive/manipulative situation that he was stuck in for 18 years where his entire existence was focused on staying in The Matron’s good graces…now he is solely focused on the party’s current quests/protecting his party members cause that is what he is good at (literally last session Helene asked him if he wants to be a good man and he like broke a little trying to fathom that)

For Bad: Is there anyone who had an undeniable negative impact on your OC’s life? How did your OC deal with that change? Have they been able to move on?

GENEVIEVE — when she was very young and her magic emerged she was sequestered in a cloister that was front for training bards for the Gilded Entourage. her teacher, Headmistress Gisele was harsh and brutal in her training (and it honestly threatened to break her lil gentle heart). Genevieve’s mother did not want her daughter taking this path but with the threat of her being sent to a mage circle this was tolerated…until Gisele plotted to have Evie’s father arrested and Evie sent to a circle to weaken her mother’s growing influence on the bards. Evie watched her mother kill Gisele in a duel to take control of the cloister…so like Evie moved on pretty quickly from that horrid woman lmao

MALAZAR — 1000% The Matron! wait also his DAD! I can’t decide which is worse! both technically have tried to kill him but Matron convinced him that she liked/respected him (also groomed him) for 18 years first (while his dad hated him from the moment her was born) so I guess that’s worse?! anyway it’s all been extremely negative across the board and is the reason he’s so fucked up! he likes to think he has moved past the dad shit but he’s just internalized that and well he has not had time to process The Matron’s “betrayal” like he’s still unpacking everything she has done to fuck up his mental state

Past: Does your OC have any past partners? How did the relationship(s) end? Are any of their exes still in their life, and if so, do they get along?

GENEVIEVE — she honestly has steered away from any serious relationships given how complicated/dangerous/secretive her life is but that has not stopped her from casual dalliances during her party eras. I’m still like vibe checking her as ace? but she’s been down for make out sessions and cuddling etc with strangers/acquaintances (I haven’t narrowed down any specific named people for this it’s just vibes ya feel me?) so like her relationship with these people is pretty chill all around cause things were pretty defined from the beginning and they are all still pretty friendly if she ever runs into them again

MALAZAR — he has had exactly one relationship and it was with one of his fellow assassin trainees, Yasmin aka The Viper. honestly was a co-workers with benefits vibe and she was straight up just using him/trying to mess with him to get ahead (cause he was The Matron’s favorite) the relationship ended very uhhh abruptly when she tried to kill him during one of their nights together and he ended up killing her 😬(no idea if DM will be bringing her back cause I gave the green light for resurrection shenanigans but yeah that will be like so messy)

Future: Is there anyone your OC is looking forward to meeting or to seeing again? Who? What might that meeting or reunion look like?

GENEVIEVE — she’d love to see her father especially with everything that’s going on! idk if she’s gonna get to see him in person anytime soon but whenever she does she’s giving him the tightest hug ever! that’s her papa she rarely sees! also she’d probably break down and catch him up through tears!

MALAZAR — honestly there is no one from his past that he is looking forward to seeing again…well I take that back wait…sorry I am making myself laugh so I did write into his backstory a detective guy who is obsessed with catching the assassin known as “The Phoenix” mal was so amused the one time they ran into each other that he let this guy go so like a small part of him thinks it’d be funny to mess with him again but also he’s supposed to be trying to be a better person and running into this guy would be problematic RIP

I chose to draw the goddess Thetis beseeching Hephaestus to forge armour for her son Achilles. I think the bond between these two is quite lovely, with Hephaestus feeling indebted to Thetis for helping him in his hour of need, and willingly returning the favour.

I'm a BIG fan of low ranking characters suddenly thrust into a position of authority they're unprepared for. a young princess, too far down the line of succession to merit any training, forced onto the throne when her whole family dies in one attack. a lowly technician on a team who finds themself the defacto leader when a mission goes wrong and every single person above them is captured or killed. a group of strangers comes together for survival, and the only person with any assertiveness gets assigned a leadership role, even though they have no special skills. do these characters rise to the challenge and lead their respective groups to victory? do they crash and burn under the pressure so hard no one ever trusts them again? do they massively restructure their whole society because any system that puts them in charge can't be doing things right?
