“That might have been what I did, yea.” He chuckled, shaking his head, as he leaned over the other to kiss him. His hands move to Ace’s pants, undoing the button. He moves to kneel between his legs pulling his pants and boxers down enough. “Between you and me I was hoping this was the option you’d go with,” he said as his hand rubs and massages his cock slowly. “Don’t have an attention span for movies.”

“I bet I could beat my own ass,” he laughed. He tilted his head at Liam, slightly confused. “Did you just give me the option of watching a movie or watching you go down on me?” The blonde looked dumbfounded. “What do you think I would choose?” He paused. “The movie, of course!” He deadpanned for a moment before laughing. “I’m just kidding. “I do so much.” Ace looked around when Liam mentioned a cuddle muffin. “Where is this guy? Do I have to kick his ass?” He laughed at his attempt at a joke. “I don’t want a snack. Thanks, though.” He hesitated. “Actually, I lied. You should get me some popcorn f we’re going to attempt another movie.

He breathed a big sigh of relief. “Oh thank god. Like jeez, kids…kids I could deal with. But the actual thought of owning and willingly driving a minivan is just too much for me. I’m traumatized now by the thought.” He chuckled and leaned over to kiss Ace, “maybe since we’re both sleeping this movie is not the one for us.”

“Oh, kids are not the problem now, but minivans?” Ace chuckled at Liam. “You’re so weird.” He smiled into the kiss nodding his head agreeing. “Yes, I would say so, but I don’t think we gave it a fighting chance.” He sighed leaned back. “Work’s been kicking my ass with the hours.” Ace looked over at Liam. “We can try a different movie?”

Ace woke with a start hearing Liam call out to him. “I’m awake!” He had fallen asleep on the couch while they were watching a movie. He took his glasses off rubbing the sleep out of his eyes as he tried to listen to Liam. “We don’t have five kids and a mini van,” he chuckled. “We have a rinky dink apartment and a subway pass.”

He nodded his head, “yea. Like, okay, I know,” he said sitting up so he could look at Ace on eye-level. “I know what I’ve said in the past and how I’ve reacted to certain things that involve small humans before. But…watching you with your nieces and nephews and seeing how you’re so loving and caring…anyone would be luck to get to have a family with you. I would be lucky to get to start a family with you. So if you still want to, then I want to too.” 

Ace looked at Liam in bewilderment as he sat up and confirmed he was indeed serious. “Of course I want to!” His face broke out into a smile. He leaned forward cupping Liam’s cheek in his hand kissing him. “Like, not right now because we should get married first, but eventually. I’m so glad you want a family eventually. I love you so much!”

He smiled, a chuckle falling from his lips as the other asked about a puppy. Given his history, he’s not surprised that’s what Ace thought he was meaning. He also wouldn’t say no to a puppy - he might already have a list of potential dogs to bring home. “No, well, not now I’d love a puppy. But I meant a person family. Kids. If you still want them.” He looked at him curious to see how he’d respond to this statement. 

Kids had always been a dream of Ace’s. He loved them and wanted so many of them, but Liam was always apprehensive of the idea, so Ace never tried to push the idea on to him. He figured he might not ever have kids with Liam, but here he was saying he wanted them? COnfusion knitted Ace’s brow as he looked at Liam. “Wait, are you serious?”

He smiled, brought one of Ace’s hands to his face to kiss the back of his hand gently. “No place I’d rather be.” He took the hand he’d kissed and held it in his, fingers tracing soft circles against his skin. He knew that in some ways Liam gave Ace just what he wanted and in other ways he was a barrier to what he desired. But being here, with Ace by his side and after all they’d been through, Liam couldn’t imagine anything that would make life better. Except…maybe one thing. “I wanna have a family with you…if you still want to have a family and all that.”

Ace smiled softly as Liam kissed his hand. He loved this man more than words could say. He rubbed his thumb on top of LIam’s knuckles once he interlaced their fingers. His brows furrowed looking at Liam when he made his final statement. Then it clicked with the blonde what Liam meant. “You want to get a puppy? I’m sure we can manage that.”

He rested his head on the other’s lap looking up at him as the TV fed noise into the background. “I love you,” he said softly. It took a long time to get to this point - a point where Liam felt settled and ready for such a statement. Their journey was certainly not conventional, but he wouldn’t change it for the world. “I could literally stay here forever, you know that?” @ssssssteph​

Ace threaded his fingers through Liam’s hair as they were watching TV. He wasn’t paying much mind to the program as he sat there. His mind was running with the events that were picking up as of late for the company. Ace looked down at Liam when he spoke his blue eyes finding Liam’s brown ones. He smiled at him, his thoughts dissipating from work. “I love you too.” He chuckled. “I hope you would. I wouldn’t want anyone else here. I’m glad you’re here.”

he followed ace, taking his hand, out the door. “maybe tonight, you’ll help me cook dinner? i’m feeling homemade pizza, how about you? i could also be down for like a chili.” he looked over at ace as they walked. 

“oooh, you cooking homemade? that means no pre-bought things?” his eyebrows lifted in amusement. he loved it when liam cooked for him. “it is cold. chili would be nice, but whatever you want to make, i will help with.”

he nodded, “i know, i know. but we can have fun playing with them for a while. who knows, you might even fall in love with one.” 

“ha,” ace shook his head in disbelief. dogs were cute, but ace knew he didn’t have the time or patience for a dog right now. “maybe. come on.” he took liam’s hand kissing his skin as he ushered them both out of the door.

He smiled looking at the blonde, “well, i certainly won’t say no to that as well.” he chuckled and then paused, “yea? seriously?” he leaned over to kiss the other, “that sounds fun. i make no promises i won’t fall in love though. you have been warned.” 

ace giggled at liam’s reaction nodding his head. he kissed him back cradling his face in his palms. “seriously! i mean, we’re just going to look. i don’t know if we can take any home today.”
