Having good study habits is essential to education, especially during the primary years. These are carried on in the coming years. As parents, how do you encourage your child to have good study habits?
Because of the age gap, it can be quite challenging to find a common ground among parents and their children. This is why it can be difficult to find a bonding activity that both parties will enjoy. If you are having the same dilemma, we’d like to share some ideas with you. a. Play card games and board games b. Visit the park or museum c. Cooking and baking d. Gardening e. Movie marathon It doesn’t matter whichever activity you choose as long as you make the most out of it.
Most parents struggle in getting their children’s attention during study time. This is why parents must be creative in making study time more fun. All it takes is finding the right activity that can catch your child’s interest.
A common mistake that most parents make is not taking preschool seriously. Rather than believing this misconception, it is best for them to remember that preschool is the foundation of a child’s learning process.

Some words sound similar or when joined together make speaking difficult. The child must be able to build the muscle to pronounce such words and make sense of the conversation. Basic tongue twisters will build their speaking flexibility as well as enhance their vocabulary.
Social skills are very important in life. Teaching a child how to make friends will be a valuable lesson.
Handwashing is important, especially in these times. Help your kids build a habit they will find helpful throughout their life. Make handwashing easy and a part of their routine.
Do your kids have a favorite book? What story did you last read to your child? Reading a book to children brings many benefits for them and you.
Painting is one fun activity you can do at home. Getting your kids to learn about colors can start with just one. For instance, red can be painted in many things. So, grab a brush and paper and get creative!
Some people may say chess is impossible to play. However, despite the complexity of the game, its basic rules can be learned and taught. Introducing chess to a young child is not impossible. This would open the child’s mind into the basic roles of characters (pieces) and rules of the game. The strategy may be a concept adults will later learn on. But, this game helps build their perception of thinking to achieve the ultimate result.
Sometimes, kids need a little bit of encouragement from their parents. You can give them a tap at the back when they fail and a reward when they excel – a simple yet effective way to push your kids to learn more.
