Hello hello!!

This is a quick intro for me, the new mod.

I go by Orion, my pronouns are he/him (but I don't mind other pronouns being used on me), and I'm genderqueer, and I am bi and on the aroace spectrum. I'm happy to be running this blog now, and I will do my best to answer any questions you may have :)

I'll be editing this to be a better pinned post later today, but for now I'd just like everyone to know that I would prefer if asks/submissions are kept SFW. I know that people's definitions of SFW can vary, so what I mean by it is explicit talk about sex.

Introduction

Hi and welcome! diamoric-culture-is is yet another "x culture is" blog, like you have probably seen before. This is a submission based blog for people who identify with the label "diamoric" in any way to share their experience, feelings about their identity and find community. Don't hesitate to send an ask/a submission since, again, that is the base of this blog.

About the mod

Hi! You can call me Beck (any pronouns). I will try to update regularly but die to my neurodivergency and studies it won't always be possible.

Please read the rules before interactions!

Start your submission with "diamoric culture is" or something more specific like for example aro diamoric culture is or genderfluid diamoric culture is

You can submit vents but please begin your submission with a trigger warning. Also be aware that vents might be answered slower than other asks, depending on my own mental state

If you make an image submission I will ask you to add an image description if possible

You can ask me questions but I don't guarantee that I will be of any help. If your questioning is urgent or you are going through a crisis and need support, this blog might not be your best option

No racism, ableism, transphobia of any kind, exorsexism, arophobia, acephobia, aplphobia, anti-kink, homophobia or any other types of bigotry. I'm running this blog for the community and myself and have no desire to be dealing with bigotry so I will block you immediately

On a similar note, no exclusionism of any sorts against mspec monos, turigirls, lesboys and any other "contradictory" labels. You don't need to understand someone's identity to respect them and if you really want to — go wild all of the internet is yours. No are/ace/apl/other aspec identities exclusion. No kink at pride discource. No discourse at all, actually

So, you all may have noticed this blog is extremely inactive. I've come to realize that I might not actually experience attraction to men. It's been difficult. I don't want to delete the blog because I know this blog has been a source of comfort and community. However, I do not feel like I should be the one running it anymore. Feel free to DM me if you want to take over the blog, or if you'd rather, I can keep it up long enough for someone to make a new blog and reblog all the posts from this blog they want to keep, then I'll delete.

If nobody reaches out to me in the next week, I'll probably just delete the blog.

What’s the diference between Achillean and other mlm terms. I often use fag because that’s the only word that has a lot of overlap, because i don’t necessarily feel like ‘gay man’ describes what i mean (it feels very restricted by sex and gender whereas fag does not) and I just wanted to kind of know the bounds. For instance toric is very nban coded and that fine but it’s not me?

So, achillean is an umbrella term for all mlm or nblm. It includes gay men, bisexuals, pansexuals, omnisexuals, and polysexuals. It also includes nonbinary and genderqueer people, so long as they are attracted to men and feel that the label fits. The only prerequisite for identifying as achillean is being attracted to men in a queer, gay, or fag kind of way.

I am not always good with words, but I hope that explanation makes sense. If you need any clarification, feel free to send another ask. I'm always willing to answer questions.
