was kinda betting on a masters position with one of my undergrad professors since i just want to get that fucking degree and get on with my life but apparently it’s a phd now not a ms… FUCK my life i do not want a phd

#kinda the worst news i could’ve received hahaaa #i want to do a masters in new england and then idk hopefully it’s worth it so i can get a permanent job #working around the country has been cool but i’m tired and i miss home #the mindset around this field is stressing me out and making me feel like i fucked up big time #i can’t keep moving around it’s just not me #the way school and academia in general stresses me out so bad is just not sustainable for five more years at least #i don’t even want to go back to school for masters i certainly do not want more than that holy shit
