William blinked. “Noticed?”

A terrible sense of foreboding fell over William. He went very still and kept his voice even. “Of what nature?”

So I found something in the wild today

“Adam!” William blurted. Then he swore many mental expletives. The Thing stilled. It turned to face him. William was suddenly sweating profusely under his fur collar, and reflecting just how he’d somehow gotten himself into a terrible situation. He cleared his throat and wrung his hands. “Adam,” he said, and the Creature – or, he guessed, Adam, looked down at him - “your name.” [...] Oblivious to this, the Creature continued. “Do you not find it perverse to name me so? You would boldly name me as the first man?” [...] “You don’t understand,” William said, hushed, then looked about himself self-consciously. “It is not me that names you Adam but-” he struggled over a slight feeling of betrayal, “-but Victor.”

Some art portraying a scene from @aclever-username's fic A Little to the Left in which the wedding doesn't go entirely wrong and William ends up meeting/hiding the creature.

I love the characterization of William so much, and especially having him interact with Adam it's just everything I love !! There's even some franker-brothers angst in there too-- but that art is for another day. Anyways I highly recommend the read!!
