Hello!

A little intro to me :) I am a non-binary, aromantic, asexual, autistic gremlin. I love writing, nature, dungeons and dragons (current special interest), and knitting. I'm full of chaos and queer and trans rage and also joy, because joy is a rebellion of its own. I write a lot of poetry and also some fiction and one day I hope to publish many things.

Currently in my villain era (aka setting boundaries, being myself, correcting people on my pronouns) and having a great time (more or less).

Just saw a body positivity creator post a video of them online with a list of all the awesome stuff their body could do and almost all the comments were like "yeah but if you ate in a calorie deficit you wouldn't LOOK like that-"

BITCH, do you think we were put on this planet to be LOOKED AT?

Are you out of your mind?? You think millions of years of evolution or god or stardust or mother earth or aliens or WHATEVER created us so we could be looked at??? Grow up. Eat a cake. Calm the fuck down.

My therapist, trying to help me with my anxiety using metaphor: "If you hear hoofs, it's probably horses, not zebras."

Me, an autistic person: but horses and zebras are extremely similar. They're like just a different coloured version of the same thing. And neither is more harmful than the other. It would probably feel the same to be trampled to death by a horse as it would a zebra. If I am terrified of being trampled by a zebra and a horse appears its not gonna matter that much to me that it's a different colour.

I can't believe Protector of the Small is clearly winning. I LOVE Tamora Pierce and that's the only series I don't like. However, it has been so so so long since I read it, so Kel fans, I need you to convince me to pick it up again, I would love to actually like those books. They are a stain on my love of Tamora Pierce and if I could be convinced to like them, that would be excellent

At a cafe, I ask the barista if they have any croissants. She looks anxious. "We do, but they're a different shape. They're sort of square." I stare at her. Why on earth would that matter to me?

The thought triggers a sudden flashback of my barista days. It is raining blood inside the cafe. An oven is engulfed in flame. A ten foot tall blond lady is screaming at me in a voice that makes nearby dogs howl. "You said you had croissants! This is not a croissant! It is not shaped like a C!!" I want to ask my manager for help but I know I cannot. He is too busy yelling at homeless people that they aren't allowed to sleep in here. If I do not make this woman smile in 30 seconds, a corporate sniper will shoot me in the chest with a crossbow.

The fog clears. The barista is watching me anxiously. "A square croissant is fine."

I have a cold so I made Spicy Lemonade and honestly? HUGE success.

Boiled the shit out of a pot full of diced ginger root and like three cups of water, sieved it, juiced two lemons into it, added cayenne and honey and topped the whole thing off with 500 ml of ginger ale.

It's sweet and tasty with an after taste of Burning Burning Burning that gets stuck in your throat in a truly delightful way

Having someone ask ChatGPT in a meeting is like being a grown-ass professional adult in a room full of other grown-ass professional adults trying to solve a problem, while a colleague with one of those baby toys that makes animal sounds repeatedly presses the cow button. its so funny seeing a bunch of native new yorkers and los angelians try to fathom what a small town is like "yeah lets meet at the vegan place" there would not be an exclusively vegan restaurant i regret to inform you

My experience of small towns is that there COULD be a vegan place but it would be only one in a long line of weirdly specific rotating restaurants that go out of business every winter when the tourism money dries up. It would also be located somewhere super weird. Shoutout to the sushi restaurant that briefly existed at the golf course in my very white very small town
