Age regression: returning to a childlike mental state in order to cope or simply find peace or relaxation for those who don’t have a reason to cope. An example of a reason to cope is child sexual assault or abuse. Minors are allowed here. This is not a kink.
Age play: participating in a power exchange relationship involving a dominant caregiver and a submissive little. This is a kink. Can involve sexual acts. Can also not involve sexual acts, but instead rules and guidelines and nurturing. All of these seemingly innocent things still involve an exchange of power as the caregiver is in a position of authority, and thus minors cannot consent to it. Minors are not allowed here.
Cg/l: Caregiver/little. This is a power play relationship. This is a subset of bdsm. This is a kink. No minors allowed.
BDSM: bondage/discipline, dominance/submission, sadomasochism. This is a kink. No minors allowed.
Dd/lg: Daddy dom/little girl. Same thing as cg/l, only with specified genders.
Md/lb: Mommy dom/little boy. There is also dd/lb, md/lg, etc. CGL is the gender neutral term.
ABDL: adult baby/diaper lover. This is a kink community, but that doesn’t mean that minors can’t use pacifiers, etc. They can as long as they don’t participate in power play relationships. The ABDL community is so closely intertwined with all the above kink communities that it’s better if minors stay away.
“Little”: this is a KINK term. Minors cannot use it to describe themselves and if they do, they are participating in kink. You are an age regressor until you are an adult. Then you can be both an age regressor and a Little.
ChiRe: Child regression. This community contains minors. It is purely age regression and does not involve age play. LilTot and a bunch of others are similar to this community.
CglRe: see below. This community is ill-defined.
Communities involved in age regression: ChiRe, LilTot, and every single kink community because all age regression is involved in age play. Age play is not necessarily involved in age regression. Kinksters in CGL are age regressors. Everyone in all these communities are considered age regressors.
Communities involved in age play: Cg/l, dd/lg, md/lb, any gender combination.
Communities I have an issue with: CglRe. It stands for caregiver/little/age regression. Minors are all over this community because of the age regression aspect, yet CGL is still in its name, which makes it a kink. Anyone who is in CglRe purely for the age regression aspect is actually a part of ChiRe. I do not think CglRe should exist. It is literally CGL under a different name, and was created for minors who don’t understand the difference between age play and age regression.
People that can follow me: Cg/l and any of its subsets. Bdsm. Kink in general. ADULTS.
People that can’t follow me: Minors. CglRe. Minors. Minor supporters. Minors. Anyone who claims CGL isn’t a kink. It is. Anyone who is against ddlg, bdsm, etc (known as “antis”). Anyone who thinks CGL isn’t a valid coping mechanism for CSA survivors. Anyone who is racist, sexist, homophobic, an asshole. ChiRe. To be clear, I am not against ChiRe. I don’t want them following me because there are many minors and they are not a part of the nsfw kink community, and they probably don’t want to see that content on my blog anyways.
Summary: Learn these terms. Get educated. Be smart. Be kind. Be cautious. Age regression is a beautiful thing and all sorts of people can enjoy it. But there is a reason we need separate communities for minors and adults. It is a safety issue. It is a legal issue. Minors do not belong in kink.
