Session 5: Half the team raided a pirate ship that attacked our boat(while the other half went through hell in our boat’s engine room), in which at one point we try to persuade one of the pirates to help us navigate through this ship safely. Yusuke rolled a 1 success for intimidation, and while I thought that was not gonna be enough and pirates would be used to aggressiveness or something, THIS PIRATE ROLLED A 0 SUCCESS. And so we saw that he was actually rly a wuss lol. How are you even a pirate. We ended up befriending this actually laid back fishman pirate, and now he is a member of our crew. His name? ARSHORT.
He was one of the first of many NPCs we were going to save later….
Also yes, it’s One Piece reference, but this one’s SCRAWNY AS FUK AND A WUSS

Remember this post about my WW AU where Link’s Grandma dons the hero’s clothes to save Link and Aryll? Well I wrote out a whole little comic to introduce the concept.
I was thinking of having a whole little zine with this comic and some new drawings in time for DINK next month! So look forward to that in the future!

The popular delivery service Kuroneko Yamato released an adorable video showing customers how to assemble their new compact shipping boxes, using an adorable black kitty. He’s gotta send that tuna to his friend somehow, right?
Day cat though...

How to Write an Introduction for Your Characters
If you really want to be able to develop your characters properly, it’s usually good to know your character’s habits, quirks, and flaws beforehand. This should actually make it easier to introduce your characters, since you’ll already know a lot about them.
Here are a few tips if you’re having trouble introducing your characters—
Introduce your characters in an exciting way.
Don’t worry about telling us all their character information right away. Show us who they are with a good introduction scene that fits your character. If they’re good at fighting, maybe open with an exciting fighting scene where we don’t really know what’s going on at first. You can reveal little tidbits about your character through scenes like this and your audience will be able to pick up on important information. Obviously, you don’t need to start with an action scene, but try to find something that reflects on your characters.
Reveal your character’s personality and flaws throughout your story.
You don’t need to “info-dump” during the introductions. Introductions are used for making it clear what your character wants or what they’re looking for. You should give us a sneak peak regarding what to expect with your characters. They might not yet have an idea how to get what they want, but we should be able to understand where their journey is going. Intros let your readers know your character’s current situation. You’ll be able to explore more from that starting point.
We should get a basic idea of how your character looks, their age, and their world.
Set up what kind of world your character lives in and how it affects your characters. This can be done in an endless number of ways, which is entirely up to you, but your audience needs some reference points. For example—right from the beginning of Harry Potter, we knew he was treated poorly and we know what kind of environment he was in. We also knew about his mysterious lightning shaped scar. That was all important for getting on his side right away.
Ultimately, focus on what information you want to get across to your readers RIGHT AWAY. Other information can be revealed later, but we should get a feel for who your character is and what he or she wants.
