Humpty dumty from the “Through the Looking Glass” private party for fashionweek 2014 just got featured in TATLER… Well done to the boys over at Immersive Cult!
I designed the costumes for Tatler and Christies Art Ball that happened last Thursday. The event was a production from up and coming events and cosultancy company Immersive Cult.
These are some shots featured on Tatlers Bystander blog of some of the Christies staff I styled for the occation. From the top Robert Sheffield, Francesco Pastori, Ben Clarke, Kate Reardon (editor of Tatler) , Steven Murphy (CEO of Christies). The bar staff I dressed as an army of magrittes!
Massive thanks to always wonderful, amazing Team Costume Charlotte Rose Brazier, Charlotte Young, Martina Trottman, Ugne Dainute, Gabriella Jorge, Penny Sanford and Anna Lewis!
More pictures of artworks, actors and action coming soon…
About 9 months ago we started working on costumes for the finale of Channel 4's Big Ballet. An incredibly challenging but exciting project for our team!
Brilliantly co-designed by Susan Kulkarni and Martina Trottmann (also supervisor) and designers assistant Annike Flo.
A beautiful mix of traditional and modern elements were used to create the dancers dress's using layers of silk chiffon, an abundance of feathers and trimmings galore, all with a strong 1920's art deco influence.
The show aired back in February but is still available on 4oD along with the whole final performance.
Secret Cinema 21 presents Millers Crossing - A wonderful 1920's film for us, the costume team to play with; Spear point collars, tie pins, show girls and details galore! Of course not forgetting the iconic Fedora hats, provided by 'the oldest hat shop in the world' Lock & co hatters.

Last weekend we put to bed a very exciting project; Future Cinema presents The Grand Budapest Hotel which included a week or two of previews before the film was officially released.
Obviously this was a very exciting project for all of us. Trying to capture Wes Anderson and Milena Canonero's epic and iconic designs without directly copying them was a fun challenge but one I think we did rather well.
Rolls of fabric were bought and made to measure uniforms constructed, maids aprons pressed and 'guests' adorned with the right amount of 1930's glamour and small surreal details for those looking more closely.
Designed by Martina Trottmann and Susan Kulkarni Assisted and styled by Annike Flo, Charlotte Young, Anna Lewis, Sarah Mercade, Ugne Dainiute Uniforms made by Silje Ødemotland, Caroline Akselson, Danute Dainiene, Katsu
Millinary by Hannah and Olivia Hayward and Kinnetia

The Future Cinema Valentines special this year was 'Who framed Roger Rabbit' - A great project for us which involved a lot of fun costume making; see above Jessica Rabbit in all her sparking glory and the Weasel pack in their signature looks.
Designed and supervised by Martina Trottmann and Susan Kulkarni
A few portraits of the Musketeers we dressed for a showcase event in February. A whirlwind few days seeing half of us up to Liverpool and back just in time for the next show.
