Why I think an LoA and Helion “rejected mates” plot would be more impactful than Elucien’s bond being rejected:

LoA would have rejected 1) a mating bond 2) love 3) a kind and non-abusive partner

She rejected these things to maintain peace between the courts and potentially protect Helion who was not yet a HL from Beron who was

She rejected these things to protect her children bc Beron could use them against her. It shows that love can truly trump a mating bond - ie. love for a child.

We can see how living with a broken mating bond effected them over the years

We can potentially see a reinstated mating bond after it is rejected initially. Imagine a scene where LoA and Helion after all these years finally get to accept their mating bond.

Obviously, I ship Gwynriel and Elucien, but my opinion on the above is irrespective of my ships. I think the emotional impact and the stakes of a broken mating bond is greater with Helion & LoA vs Elucien.

down on the west cost of the autumn court, boarding the summer court, you worked at a tavern. you sang every night for anyone and everybody. you worked nightly never taking notice of the customers until you had a familiar red head in the crowd most nights.

he’d watch your entire set and you couldn’t take your eyes off of him half the time. his face angled in such a way that any woman would be lucky to bed him, his hair in a light wave, the auburn shiny, looking soft to the touch. his eyes on you however only showed passion.

this particular night you may of had a few too many drinks but if you’re not drinking you’re not playing. you sang your song seeing your red head admirer. you throw him a wink; a smirk forming on his face.

at the end of your set he finally came to speak to you, it wasn’t long until you had your secret love affairs with him. you’d sing to him and see how his head would sway to the melody of your voice. he loved how you sang, how beautiful it sounded but gods he loved how pretty your moans were.

I absoultely love Nessian dynamic and how well they complement each other. They're also a couple which chemistry sparks everytime they're close and I think this arts represents this aspect very well. 🔥🔥🔥

Nesta and Cassian didn’t have the best family relationships with their maternal or paternal figures and this created deep marks on both of them, even influencing the notion they have about deserving or being worthy of the love of those around them.

Even if not in the immediate future, we have evidence they want to have children and we believe as soon as they learn about the existence of the first little bat, they will realize that loving their own children is not conditional or difficult.

For the first day of Nessian Week, @podemechamardek and I commissioned this fanart of Nessian with the little bat, because we have a soft spot for Nessian as parents. Michelle did an amazing job.

Out of a rip in the world, Eris appeared atop our knoll, clad head to toe in silver armor, a red cape spilling from his shoulders… Eris just rested a hand on the pommel of his fine sword and said, “We thought you might need some help.”

I can’t express how excited I am finally share my first ever completed commission! I had so much fun commissioning @b-astora for this piece based on Eris’s entrance to the battle in ACOWAR. I think our future High Lord looks prettyyyyy good in armor if I do say so myself 🥵

And tell me why when I said something about it in the comments, someone had the nerve to respond to me saying that “Well sjm said she had Persians in mind when she wrote him”

Like be so fucking serious right now. OP says she was tempted to do John Boyega as Helion but since Helion is “very bisexual” Robert Sheehan fit more?? Like you can’t even bother to disguise your racism atp. I hope this fucking show gets cancelled and that their fancasts go nowhere i’m sorry.

I do agree that it’s very racist. But the whole part about him being inspired by Persians is kinda true, in regards to SJM supposedly saying that she thought of him as Persian on a live and book signing event. On that note I would also like to point out how terrible a writer SJM is when it comes to describing characters. When she describes Helion, he’s described as dark skinned which is ambiguous because that can mean a number of people from Latinos, Blacks and south Asians can be described as dark skinned. While with Tarquin she goes into a lot of detail but Helion despite having lines in the last book he’s only described by his clothes and the Pegasus he rides. As I said she leaves a lot to be desired.
