Y'all for real please do these. Even if you're certain your posture doesn't suck. One day you will wake up with impinged shoulder pain like I did and let me tell you it fucking HURTS. Do these exercises even just once a week and it will make such a difference. Especially my fellow creatives out there, stop shrimping over your work and go do these right now. RIGHT NOW.

Sometimes reminded that Tumbthumping by Chumbawamba is my life motto.
Clear tech. When things had personality.
So is nobody gonna talk about how being Super Online is rapidly becoming a marker of being lower class. I feel like just being able to afford to live an actual life filled with quality interaction and stimulation and not needing cheap online dopamine distractions is rapidly becoming something only people with money have access to.
The internet is now more of a net negative than anything else. We’re increasingly just getting rage-baited, fed misinformation and AI slop. Our attention being converted into ad dollars and brand deals.
Every social site is now optimized for businesses and the creator economy- not for human beings to connect or share their lives. The era of people just posting to share what they’re up to or expressing themselves to their friends and family is sooo far behind us.
It’s becoming clear: if you’re not an artist /creator/influencer, using online courses to learn or trying to sell products/build a business- the internet is doing nothing to enhance your life - while reducing your attention, focus and stealing valuable time.
I think one of the most insidious things about our current era of patriarchy is how much we are bombarded with women who appear to choose their own objectification, enjoying their own objectification and selling it as confidence and fun. The message being that any discomfort with patriarchy is prudish and unfeminine and underconfident. That this discomfort must come from our own ugliness and shame, something to hide and be insecure about, and that criticism of objectification is criticism of women ourselves. That we’re jealous and mean. Men are almost completely taken out of the picture- as executives, as photographers, as directors and consumers of our bodies and sexuality. The objectification of women is done by women, to women, and any repercussions will fall onto women. We are entirely self contained whilst men are free to watch from outside and consume our sexuality regardless.

I love a good yearn.
Watching Superstore and the social commentary is... intense. Also I think it would go over so many people's heads.
journaling
One of the other things I started doing this year was logging my reading journal. I do it entirely offline with the book, author, rating, date. I write a mini summary of the book and my feelings.
I use a combination thesarus/dictionary so I can work on expanding my vocabulary and enhancing my articulation.
I used NIN to censor what I was reading but I'm actually listening to The Midnight - Syndicate (on vinyl) while I work on my backlog.
And it gives me a chance to use my fancy pens.
