Hey guys,

unfortunately we have not had a lot of support or donations on this project as we would have liked. that’s mostly on me for not having the time to give to properly promoting the project. If everyone is ok with it, I’m going to donate all the money earned to bbc children in need. If someone is against us doing this or would rather us paypal them their money back (minus kickstarter fees since they took the money out regardless) please let me know.

The Curious Tale of Fi-Rex is a children’s book illustrated by Julia Patton. It was written in collaboration with One Direction and 17 other celebrities, including Kylie Minogue and Paul McCartney. Proceeds from the original sales go straight to BBC Children In Need, but we’re looking to take it a step further.

Fans love to support One Direction’s endeavors, but many of us happen to be too old for a children’s book. So, we thought it would be a great idea to donate the books to different Children’s Hospitals around the world, which is why we’ve started Action1DBooks.

We will document each step of the way, especially the delivery processes to the hospitals. Join us in realizing the dream of Action1DBooks and make a child’s stay at a hospital just a little more comforting.

For how long will this project last? I'm thinking about asking my school's Key Club to assist with this project and help get donations, but that isn't happening until possibly September.

We’d like to do it and have them shipped out when the book is released. However, if everyone’s interested, I think we’d all be more than happy to extend the project. OR if you’re super interested in it, please feel free to do a project similar with your Key Club for hospitals near you! :)

A good idea would be to tweet some of the big acc on twitter and get them to retweet and also set up a twitter with a donate link.
