Looking back prevents you from living in the now. Now is the only thing you can control and if you focus on the positive, the gratitude and the happiness you have. Things will only get better, you will have more things to be positive, grateful and happy for!
ghost¡ing
/ÉĄĹstiNG/ noun
the appearance of a ghost or secondary image on a television or other display screen.
the practice of ending a personal relationship with someone by suddenly and without explanation withdrawing from all communication.
Between the unanswered emails, ignored texts and calls, and seemingly empty âwe should catch up sometime,â you start to give up on a person.  Friendship is a two way street. When youâve rescheduled more often than youâve met, you start to wonder if they care.  Without realizing, you stop emailing, stop texting, stop calling.  When did we stop talking?
I find myself on the other side of the intimidating screens, bright notifications, expectant faces. Expecting a reply, and expecting it now. Itâs not that hard to reply, right? But to me, everything moves like molasses; Iâm trying to conserve the little energy that I do have. When my head clears for a moment, I realize how many people I havenât responded to and how long it has been since their original message.Â
Sometimes you canât reach me; but itâs not that I donât care about you, my dear friend. Iâm not ghosting because I want to. Iâm barely keeping my head above water, and I donât want you to ask the dreaded question: how have you been?Â
If you do catch me in conversation, there are the things that I donât talk about, that I canât talk about. And not having an answer to that question makes any interaction so much harder. Instead, I deflect and ask about you or talk about quantifiable things like school or work.Â
So Iâm sorry we stopped talking. Iâm sorry I ghosted you. Iâm sorry this thing has gotten in the way of our relationships. So when I reach out to you, Iâm  trying really hard, harder than youâll ever know.
Sometimes, I feel like college isnât meant for me. That Iâm too sensitive for it.Â

Daily Reminder.
Already, I'm falling behind my schoolwork and club obligations. It's especially difficult to keep track of everything since clubs are recruiting now, and I want to possibly join several new ones. I know it's only the beginning of this semester, but I'm frustrated with myself for already falling into my old habits of procrastinating, wasting time, and stressing over things but not actually doing anything about those things. I'm struggling to stay positive. I know that beating myself up for not doing as well as I want to will only be detrimental. And yet.Â
At the very least, I hope that my posting this will reach someone who also feels the same way. Know that you're not alone in this feeling.Â
Hereâs to all the people
With scars from their skin condition
Who have ever been told not to wear shorts or T-shirts because they should âcover it upâ
Who feel like their body is gross or ugly
Who have been pointed at and called disgusting
Who always wear long clothes to cover up
Who get people without a skin condition telling them how to manage it
Who have 6843 different creams and lotions and have lost track of which ones theyâre supposed to be using right now.
Youâre all beautiful, youâre all fantastic and youâre all doing a great job
RAP-Line began in 1990 as a calling service and added letter writing as an additional peer support service in 1996. Now, RAP-Line will make Penn the third college campus nationwide â after Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where the service originated, and University of Chicago â to offer the Lean On Me text message service.
