"No, I was fooling around," he tilted his head on the side and avoided her gaze. "…who would want to hang out with you anyway? Shut up, I just said so, didn’t you hear?" He dislikes having to repeat himself as doing such a thing would cause irritating feelings to flow and he didn’t need them right now. Sure, being suspected is only a normal thing. However, one cannot simply know their enemies and friends without doubting one another. Trust is an important element but it’s not possible to lay it out without doubting. Mizuki thinks about it and his thoughts were interrupted not long enough by her.
"I didn’t ask for your name," but whatever. "Katsumi. Katsumi Mizuki."
"Wh-what a prick!!"
The words had escaped her despite herself, but that didn't mean she meant them any less. What a prickly thing to say! If a prick were to ever prickle as prickily as this prick--
"Well, thanks for getting a laugh out of me the, Bratsumi. The next time I need someone to take me somewhere, I'll be sure to not think of you."
And what kind of question was that? Was he serious? She had friends! And even if she didn't, well, at least she was pleasurable company!
"Whatever then. Have fun going back home by yourself!"
