growing up in a big city is usually something dog lovers condemn, but harvey lanskin has grown up just fine. in some aspect of the word. it starts when he's small, his brother and harvey's best friend butting heads, his best friend always winning. nothing really would've come out of this if mason didn't throw fits about it daily. he always complained that greg was bullying him. harvey, thought it was stupid of him. he was bigger than greg! he also knew how to turn into a wolf while greg didn't! it was his fault greg was beating him up, and harvey figured that was the case with everyone ever since. mother's tend to be kind, loving aspects of life. and harvey's mother was no exception. so while he grew up thinking everything bad that happened to someone was their own fault, and he refused to let anyone near him, he vaguely grew up caring. he tries his best to confront people about their weaknesses, albeit in a very intimidating and wrong way. he cares, but he's tired. harvey lanskin uses his words to act, considering he's always had a huge eating problem. his blood pressure is low and his mental health is suffering, but at least he cares, right? when he's a wolf though, his hunting instinct kicks in. harvey lanskin has killed people and animals alike. in that form, people are prey. he is hungry, it's as if his stomach that refused to eat finally decided to work while harvey cares, he has a lot of trouble expressing it. words have never come out properly due to greg's torment and abuse. he's seperated himself from greg since, but he hasn't seperated himself from the feelings he invoked. he was shut down, and never allowed friends other than greg. when he finally realized what was wrong about this and cut him off, it was too late to fix it. and while he cares about other people in a strange, fatherly way, he doesn't show it at all. it's all ruthless. it's sarcasm and snide remarks. it's telling them off so they fix themself up. his judgement of care is very misconcieved. harvey lanskin is rude but he's rude with vaguely good if not selfish intentions-- to make the dog eat dog world more just. the weak dogs lose, the strong dogs win. some dogs just need little help getting there. to tie it all together, harvey lanskin has only two ways to deal with his own problems, run away or kill it. he's never comfortable with people despite acting like he is and always tired from his insomnia he refuses to get treatment for. harvey lanskin is a real piece of work.
