Actually yes
Kind of. Will be back soon. Maybe.
Fiora said nothing still and popped her chin on the top of Syndra's head. Blue eyes fluttered closed and a grown was let out. "My day. It was horrible." As per usual, her accent was stronger. Exhaustion did that to her.
Yet, Syndra did not move to reach for the book. “That is debatable.” Syndra retorted, instead moving her hand upwards to tap a delicate finger against Fiora’s lips. “Cute.” She then added simply, a smirk pulling at her own lips as she referenced the obvious pout on the other’s lips.
Fiora only frowned harder and jumped off the table. She perched herself next to Syndra on one of the armrests and crossed her arms under her chest.
“I can multitask….” A brief chuckle. “Jealous of my books getting all of my attention, darling?”
Fiora rose and strode over to Syndra. Taking the book out of the other’s hands, she glanced at girlfriend before she turned her attention to the book. She frowned. “My Ionian is poor. I cannot read this.”
“It would only bore you, it’s a documentation of Vastayan life from many many years ago.” Syndra replied, leaning back in her chair. “If you are truly curious, I can read it aloud to you in common.”
“I’d rather not. Instead, I’d much prefer it if you put your energy into something else. Like speaking to me. Par exemple.”
“Just as an example? Are we not speaking already?” Syndra quirked a brow. “You know, you could have just asked that to begin with instead of taking away my book–”
Gently, Fiora lowered the book to the table and slid it out of reach. Which was pretty useless with Syndra being capable of getting it back with just a swipe of her hand. Instead, the duelist sat herself on the table. "I am not pouting." She announced before her girlfriend could say anything.

A small piece of crunched up paper would be thrown in Syndra’s direction.
@ask-syndra
Syndra would catch the paper, squinting at Fiora. “Yes?”
Tore another piece of paper. Threw it harder.
Catches that one too, rolling her eyes. “I see we are starting a collection, hm?”
Fiora scrunched up another ball of paper. “Do I have your attention now?”
Syndra prepared to catch another, eyes watching Fiora’s hand carefully. “…You’ve had it since you entered the room, dear.”
"Non. You were reading je ne sais quoi. You're always reading."
A small piece of crunched up paper would be thrown in Syndra’s direction.

acxree:
“Date?” she spat, watching the hemomancer. “I don’t think so. You are here because you were caught trespassing on House of Laurent property. I came here for answers.”
Laurent crossed her arms under her chest, huffing. She did nothing to hide the spite in her voice.
Turning her head away from Vladimir, she peeked at him with her uncovered eye. “Parles. Talk.”
@castdeath
Then man scoffed at the noblewoman as he looked up with glee at her annoyed expression. “Trespass you say? What terrible misunderstanding this is! I was only hoping to steal a glace at the one and only lady Laurent.”
His gaze then slowly drifted down as if scanning her slender figure. “I dint expect to get a front row seat however, as satisfying as it is I would prefer to have this meeting in somewhere more….accommodating~”
@acxree
If she could, she would have spat at his feet. Instead, she froze her movement and simply sighed heavily. Rumours. Those were the only thing that gave her an indication of how the hemomancer thought. That was all she had on him.
And after being face to face with him for more than a few minutes, she already had to surpress the urge to skewer him on the tip of her blade. "Your accomodation is equal to your merit. I do not know what you are planning, Vladimir. And yet, here I am, already not liking it.”
Her voice dropped low. “Now tell me. Why are you here? What are your true motives? I am a sight to see. But I hardly doubt that you have come all this way to tell me that that I already know. Parles," she repeated.
@castdeath
One moment she opened her mouth to word just how much of her patience was left. And the next she was sent hurtling downwards, the hammer crashing to the ground, the Duelist’s hand still latched on to it.
Her knees yielding under the weight Fiora found herself in a ridiculous posture, her eyes almost level with the yordle’s.
Looking down at the hammer she grimaced and tried pulling it back up. “Merde,” was all she said.
“Are you okay?!” blurted out the Yordle. Surprised by the duelist’s fall, she didn’t even try to break it and was now staring at Fiora, two inches from her face.
She could clearly see that the human was not the hero and that a hammer was ill-suited for the duelist. Yet she was trying very hard. Perhaps a little too hard.
“Vous allez vous faire mal au dos. You’re not the hero but it’s okay! You can still be a legend! Just not… THE hero.” She wasn’t used to this language anymore and spoke with an ancient accent, from times where its use was widespread.
"Tu parles l'ancien déma-- bah, who cares. I am a Laurent. Laurents have a code of honour. I will not sully it." Clenching her jaw so hard that she could feel her teeth hurting, Fiora took a different stance and gave another insistant tug.
Even though she was putting all her strength in it, even if she was putting all her will into it, the hammer would not move an inch. Fiora swore again in frustration. If a mere yordle could lift it as if it were nothing, then why couldn't she?
Pausing, Fiora let out a breath. "I will lift this damned thing. And you will be here watching."
Fight me Baguette girl I dare you

( Yordles | @hammerly-lost )
“Ah. A yordle. With a big hammer.”
Although Poppy was never a fan of nobles - she was always more of a grunt herself - she had heard tales of the duelist. Although she highly doubted a hammer was her style, she couldn’t help but think the short-haired woman just might be the hero.
“Yeah, isn’t it great? Wanna try it out?”
Fiora raised an eyebrow. “Moi? Try this? Ridiculous. Hammers lack the grace and elegance that is required from a high-class noble such as myself.”
Although turning her head away slightly from the yordle, her eye was still fixated on the hammer. “Ridicule.” she repeated.
Contempt. Typical. The yordle couldn’t help but let out a frustrated sigh. If only people could take the hammer, try it and give it back immediately, she’d save a lot of time. But Fiora’s staring didn’t go unnoticed.Â
“You know, this the very hammer Orlon used to wield before founding Demacia. Are you sure you don’t wanna lift it? See if you’re cut from the same cloth?”
Baiting her was the plan. Duelists always love a challenge. Well, except when they’re posing of course. Poppy mentally rolled her eyes. So many posers in the nobility…
The Grand Duelist stared a bit longer before fully turning to face the yordle. Looking her down she remained silent still, until she slowly extended her arm.
“Give it to me,” she ordered.
“YES!” Thought the yordle. “She took the bait!”
Poppy ceremoniously offered the hammer of Orlon to Fiora, presenting it like a stable boy to a knight. Her head looking down hid the grin that spread across her face. Maybe, just maybe the time she had been waiting for was finally worth it.
“I give you the hammer of Orlon. Take it and become the hero Demacia deserves.”
Looking down at the yordle, Fiora finally, finally uncrossed her arms an raised an eyebrow. She did no trust yordles. This one in particular, even less. She seemed different somehow.
Fiora shrugged. A Laurent never backed down on her word.
Extending her hand nonchalantly, she grabbed the hilt of the hammer.
"You can let go now," she said, Â her patience growing thin.
And just as she had done so many times before, Fiora held Syndra's gaze. This time, there was no air of defiance. This time, there were no games being played, nothing that was on the line.
Her hands stayed where they were, cupping ivory cheeks, thumbs gently drawing reassuring cirlces.
"I know," she simply replied. She whispered it. "I just want to be certain that you are okay. That you also want this. We will not go any faster than needed. You set the pace. You tell me to stop and I will stop. You tell me to kiss you and I will oblige. And I will never ever judge you. Tu comprends? Do you understand? In this moment, you are my world. And never do I want to hurt you. Je ne me le pardonnerais pas. Never will I forgive myself if I did."
