open to group one in the event
Anxiety is hardly anything new to Sümeyye, but that did little to soothe the nerves that currently filled her belly. Both groups that had set out had been gone for over a day, with nothing to signal their return any time soon, or even the fact that they were still alive. While Sümeyye had chosen to remain at the beach, something she couldn't bring herself to regret, the longer they waited the more anxious she became. She paced the sand back and forth, arms crossed against her chest as the sun began to set in the distance. Another day gone. How long was it suppose to take?
With a huff, she abruptly switched course from her pacing, instead choosing to drop herself onto a nearby log that had been situated by the camp fire. Only a moment of silence passed though, before the Turkish native found herself speaking. "Do you think it's safe?" Her attention turns to the person closest to her, eager for some kind of mollifying response. "Out there." She gestured vaguely to the island around them. "They're alright, aren't they?"
it takes adalia a moment to realize the girl is speaking with her before she lifts her head and takes a look around the island. no. she didn't think it was safe -- not in the slightest. but adalia can sense the anxiety radiating off of the other and so she offers a meager shrug with a small smile to go along with it. "i don't think it's safe but i'm sure they're alright."
she looks away for a moment, returning her gaze to her hands, where she held a broken seashell. the terrain was unfamiliar and who knew what types of creatures occupied the island. still, the groups that departed were fairly large in size. adalia highly doubted they wouldn't be able to keep each other safe. "it could just be taking them awhile since they aren't used to this... terrain -- climate. they'll be back in no time."
