i can't believe the week is over ;_;

i've been so consumed with drawing, but also and mostly with devouring all the AMAZING works put out these last few days, i feel a kind of void now that it's done... maybe that's why i'm wrapping up my own content with a bit of angst ;0;

anyways i'll make a post about it later because it's like 3 am while i'm drafting this and if i go on now i'm gonna start crying plus i got stuff™️ to say that i can't articulate rn cause my brain is fried gnight see you in the morning around noon ily<3

every damn day I am thinking about how a is most definitely masking their accent (or at least were for a while) and how they probably sound almost but not quite flemish when not masking it and how they spoke anglo Norman growing up and how fucked up their spelling probably is if they’re not forcing themselves to write “correctly” because they grew up when standardized spelling wasn’t a thing and because anglo norman is english’s parent they probably have to keep themselves from writing the same word but in anglo norman and how they probably don’t speak Parisian/standard French but Norman French and how their parents spoke Old Norman and how the place their family is from (Mortain) Still Exists And You Can Go To It

Just yesterday binged both books 1 and 2 of the Wayhaven Chronicles and omg best book I think I've read in a long time (and definitely my favourite) I haven't been this attached to characters... I think ever! And as an aspiring writer this has taught me a lot so thank you! I also watched the April q&a and you guys are scaring me for book 5!! How angsty are we talking on a scale of 1-10?

For Book Five?

....It's gonna be angsty... so like 12/10

It's the book where I really get to indulge in my angsty, melodramatic, take your heart and put it in a blender kind of romantic moments, and I'm very excited for it, hehe! :D

could u imagine if for whatever reason the detective decided to stay human and as they got older they experienced memory problems and the LI just has to watch the love of their life slowly forget them i-

It would obviously hurt for all of UB, but immediately I think of how much this would hurt for N and M in particular.

Like we know that N would prefer or would be for the detective staying human… so I wonder how much the decision would haunt N in this scenario. I feel like N would really want to take up being the detective’s personal caretaker as they get too old… but because of their work at and for the agency it’s just not possible. If N can’t take care of them and they don’t remember them or UB… the detective has no one else at that point/age. Rebecca would be long gone which means the detective would probably end up in a home. It can’t even be a question of “do I just turn my back” for N… N would become just a “relative” that visits this old detective at least once a week for hours to the staff and they would all silently wonder the relation and why this young, attractive person looks at the detective like they are the sun and moon.

I think M would internally grapple with the fact that they were becoming a lost memory. M got so comfortable with all their old memories being lost… that it never really occurred to them that they would become one someday to somebody else. M would also really struggle because I think they would be the second most willing, behind F, for the detective to turn so the fact that the detective didn’t in this scenario would eat at M all the more. MAYBE, big maybe, M would be able to turn their back on the detective and never see them again… but I really, really don’t think that would happen. I think if push came to shove, M would straight up leave the agency, let the rest of UB know where to find them, and go take care of the detective in a lake side cabin where it’s just them for the rest of their… for the rest of the detective’s life. Because I like pain, I also am imagining in this scenario the day that M wakes up to face the new day…. But the sun is too bright, the birds are too loud, their sheets too scratchy… and the realization that all of this leads to the fact that the detective is gone forever.
