FAAAAAAASSY. *drools all over the place* And awwwww. Adam is totes the Tom Hagen of our wondrous roleplay mafia. *pets Adam* I loooove Hagen. … Sorrrryy!! I, um, brought all my Godfather references to the table, haha.

*ahem* Anyway, ahhhh. I love it. So maybe Sonny and Adam were the best of friends (probs like brother close?) as kids and that’s how Adam ended up with the Morettis. Hmm. Did Adam live with the Morettis after he came to New York?

And oh man. Even though they are like brothers, I can deeefiiiinitely see them not get along on the business side. Esp since Sonny’s in charge now with their father ~unwell. (I’m sensing that’s going, um, SUPER WELL.) Mostly because Sonny is pretty rash and thinks more with his Angry!Eyes than with his actual brain. I can actually totes see these two arguing quite a bit about business descisions (though probably not around anyone else) which is probably totes helping the family run smoothly, ahaha. But I don’t think that really affects them outside of business? I can see them totes still being brothers/best of friends when they’re not talking business, even though things aren’t going so well with the business. (HOW MANY TIMES CAN I SAY BUSINESS IN ONE PARAGRAPH.)

Also I tooootes think everyone thinking Sonny isn’t “right for the job” is probably a huuuuuuge point of contention and makes him want to prove himself even more … which probably just makes him even more rash and prone to anger. GOOD JOB, SONNY. THAT’S CERTAINLY USING YOUR HEAD. *rolls eyes because wow he’s good at things*

OMG yesssss WANTWANTWANT I can totes see them being bros and like Sonny getting them into crazy scrapes and like Adam sweet talking their way out and just THIS IS BEAUTIFUL. Esp bc Adam was literally the Irish equivalent of Sonny in ~another life, so he actually understands everything Sonny is going through and I think sees what his life ~might have been, if he'd stayed, yknow??? So I think, in a way, he's actually super protective of Sonny...not that Sonny needs protecting, but Adam is just basically, "You want him, you come through me," in his own way. Bc no one ever stuck up for him and like hell he's gonna let that happen to Sonny and I think he kinda grew up feeling that way???? Adam did/does live with the Morettis, though he officially has an apartment of his own, as well, that he sometimes visits, but mostly - esp now with all their late night conferences etc - he mostly keeps to his quarters in the Moretti complex I think. So...yes and no? ;DDDD That totes makes sense!! I can def see them sort of keeping business vs life separated. The business side of things tried to eat him alive as a kid and he ran away, so I can see him being like, "I just want it to be clear that my professional opinion is not always my personal opinion," basically and I can def see them hanging out as friends, having a good time, and an hour later arguing across the table at each other about the future of the business and vice versa. I think it's the only way they can keep from going insane tbh esp bc their opinions are so very different as far as how to handle the business. In a way, though, Adam finds his rashness endearing as a person. There're no pretenses with Sonny and he's utterly determined and he respects...it just doesn't work too well with other aspects. And he totes gets his need to prove himself, it's just...impractical in this scenario. o.0 So about the murder (bc I like to torment my characters), I was thinking that maybe Adam had an inadvertent hand in it? Like maybe he was like, "You wanna be in control? Take it. Deal with ______ who shorted us. He's getting away!" type thing and so Sonny ran out shooting and shot Adam's mom on accident, basically hahaha Thoughts?

Ok, so this is Adam Cassidy *points at Fassy's handsome mug* He's in an awkward position bc no one knows that he's secretly a son of Connoghan while working for the Morettis. At ten, he ran away from home and took a train into NYC. There, he met Sonny and struck up a friendship. That's basically all that's in his bio about them, if I recall, but I was imagining them being super close? Anyway, I know Adam heard about/got involved with the Morettis through Sonny and the rest, as they say, is history. He became their consigliere and probs disagrees with Sonny on the councils most of the time, tbh, but off the job I feel like they have personalities that balance well???? Idk if that makes sense? That being said, I think he probs backs the Don's wishes in like basically everything, so he probs wants Mike to be the next Don, which might cause some tension?

So in the Moretti council-thingy, I feel like it’s constantly divided into three v different opinions (like Sonny/Franco & Alek/Tony & Adam/Mike) ???? And like I don’t think that Mike’s really been a part of them/won’t be until his father’s heart attack and then he kinda feels the need to step up in the chaos a bit, haha. ANYWAY, my point is that I feel like they have similar opinions on a lot of issues??? 

Okay, but Mike loves/respects Adam a lot and basically loves him as if he was his biological brother b/c they were all raised together and basically Adam showed up when Mike was very little and he really doesn’t remember a time w/o him and he trusts him with his life/totally respects his council and would def be more inclined to listen to Adam than any of the others, tbh (although BITCHFACE when Adam is like, “… hey Mike could go to that sitdown” b/c that just feels like the first step in taking over to Mike and HAHA no. Although, if that wasn’t the case, he’d totally go if he was told to b/c he does want to help w/ the war effort, haha). 

And like, i know Adam is pretty busy, but I feel like Mike would chill w/ him a lot when he’s home, especially when Tony’s not there (and also when he’s like wait WTF is up w/ Tony, haha).

ALL OF THAT IS SOOOOOOOOO PERF. I think the feeling is also v mutual. And I know Adam is eternally grateful to have Mike as an ally/sounding board bc consulting Sonny/Franco and Tony/Alek about these things is obv Adam's dream come true ;DDDDDDD I think Adam would be pretty frank with Mike, too, about the reasons why it'd be in the entire family's best interest if Mike took over and in outlining the most likely fallouts of either of the others taking the reins - both bloody and brutal but in two distinct ways obv - esp now that they're standing at this crossroads. Either way, though, Adam would encourage him to consider it, but never push him to do it. Afterall, Adam remembers just what kind of hell that can be and he respects Mike's right to choose his own fate 70000000% (it'd be pree awk atp if Mike ran away to become a Connoghan afterall ;DDDDDDD) I def feel like Adam looks at Mike as a kind of surrogate little brother. He's def adopted the Morettis, in his own way, and I think he v much gets Mike and where he's coming from on most issues yknow? BUT THEM ACTUALLY GETTING TO HANG OUT I CRY BC YOU KNOW ADAM WILL DIE BAD AND BLOODY HAHAHAHAH the bitchface tho. I can legit picture it. No, but Adam probs anticipated it and probs gave him a silent sorry-not-sorry expression idek. "Connoghan will be expecting a Moretti." (The adj for Moretti that he left unspoken but not unheard was def reasonable)

I think for like .5 seconds one time???? BUt I don't really remember what was said tbh??? I can see where there might at once be dislike and respect tho??? Like, Adam was probs the one who got him off the murder charges, I'd think? But Adam also kinda toes that line between the Moretti way and the Connoghan way obv - he can roll up his sleeves or pull off a dress suit (AND LOOK AMAZING DOING EITHER FASSY WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME NGL). Anyway, I can see them being kinda wary of each other but also fully understanding that each have the best interest of the Morettis in mind - even if Adam tends to go the Mike route while Alek obv hates Tony's guts ;DDDDD But I could also see them appreciating each other's work and how it's so ~refined like MAD SKILLZ so I'm not really sure???????? Thoughts??????

Adam Cassidy (formerly Sean Connoghan) (34) michael fassbender relationships: Luke Connoghan (father), Sophie Connoghan (sister), Jack Donovan (childhood best friend), Sonny Moretti (best friend), Alfonso Moretti (boss)

Before he was Adam Cassidy, he was Sean Connoghan. 

He was everything to his father, who started training him for succession as soon as he could walk. 

But it was a life that Sean did not know if he wanted. 

He often had thoughts of running away and had even made plans to eventually leave with his childhood friend, Jack Donovan. 

When he was ten years old, a fight with his father led him to leave abruptly. He went to Jack, but his friend would not leave his newborn brother and so Sean went alone. 

He bought a bus ticket that took him as far as New York. 

He lived on the streets for a few weeks, where he met Sonny Moretti and his brothers. 

Sean and Sonny became fast friends and when Sonny brought Sean back to the house and told his parents his story, the Morettis took Sean in. 

Although there was a divide between the Don’s children and Adam, Adam always felt at home with the Morettis and there are as much of a family to him as his own. 

The Don even paid for his education. Adam went to law school and is now working as the Don’s lawyer. 

Adam is extremely intelligent and he is a pro at navigating the legal system. Any legal problem that the Don has, Adam can make it go away. 

Even though he’s Irish, he has the Don’s trust for life, but that’s because he’s never told them of his true background.

As he’s gotten older he has realized he may not have made the right choice in leaving home.

He is torn now, especially, since there is war between the families

And knowing that his mother died without him being able to see her again, does not help

He wonders if revealing himself could stop the feud, but at the same time it may cut him off from one or both of the families forever.

Despite everything, he wonders if the Moretti’s would ever trust him (let alone let him live) if they found out the truth.

For now he’s biding his time — he knows he must choose a side.
