Yesterday I was offered $33,000 sign on bonus to join a real estate company that you ALL have heard of which will remain unnamed. Man that was flattering. I said no. I’m not made of riches either, I like $33,000 probably just as much as you do but I chose to not take the deal. To make things even more funny, the guy who offered it barely even followed up because he knew it wasn’t the deal for me. Some money always comes with a price and the price to be paid here felt like what would ultimately be a sacrifice to my clients. It’s cliché to say you put your clients interests first but the people actually doing that are very rare. This one cost me $33K Dang!!!!!!@#$%^&*() If you are still reading, I actually just left Realty One Group and joined another company. It was time to go, and right after I left the company announced a total rebrand which is basically a totally new company. I didn’t announce it my departure publicly because of my future plans…to start my own company…state test is my last hurdle. I don't do real estate like everyone else does. I am always smiling. I dont really even like to make a post not smiling because life is good, not always, but most of the time. I don't have a team. I want my clients to call my cell phone when they need help, if they are buying or selling. I dont trust some $2 an hour guy in India. I know how to fix things, literally and figuratively. I can flip an entire home with my bare hands (done it), so when you have issues on your home inspection I will have a good idea on where to direct you. A lot of the time I just encourage my clients to DIY. I don't advertise. I literally depend on my past clients to put bread on the table. Please, keep my name on your lips. I encourage everyone to spend less than they can qualify for. I'm not a huge fan of debt at all, just because you can do it doesn't mean you should. All my clients are my friends. When a transaction ends, I put reminders in my phone to follow up in a week, and a month, and I'm pretty much going to keep in touch with you for the rest of your life.
