“Go away!”
Not Wheel of Time, precisely, but...
Trollocs in Fal Dara, from The Great Hunt. A scene that always stuck with me.
So... I detest Elayne Trakand. She's privileged and arrogant in the worst ways, condescending to Mat and his men the whole way to Ebou Dar, and casually threatening to have Perrin and Faile hung for treason. And she constantly ignores the advice of people around her, does stupid s**t, and gets other people killed. Really, she is just the worst. Anyway, I have have drawn some of those feelings into this portrait, YMMV. :D
Gawyn Trakand tries on some fancy rings. And before you claim that this is the worst decision ever, recall that this is the guy who:
Sided with Elaida
Killed Hammar
Ruined all of Egwene’s traps for Mesana
Challenged Demandred to a duel
Poor dude had the most tragically bad judgement of any fictional character. At least he had to good sense to fall in love with the GOAT Aes Sedai.
Gave Graendal some colors...
Greandal, as suggested by @wot-tidbits. Will probably color her up at some point. Might try some of the other suggestions as well.
Who do you want to see a fanart of?
I'm taking requests. :) Any character in the series, as long as I haven't already drawn them (that's quite a few, so you might want to scroll the blog first). I'll take the first request that strikes my fancy. Hope everyone is well and living their best!
New WoT art! Why am I obsessed with Furyk Karede? Can't say, but it was fun to draw him with his sole reason for living. I took a liberty, as he would obviously never rest his hand on the person of the Empress. But deep down, he's just a protective step-dad; maybe that's why I love him. Anyway, enjoy fellow WoT-heads!
I exist! Kind-of.... I'm teaching digital art at the moment, and did this piece as a walk-through example for my students. Definitely taking advantage to get a little closer to my life-long goal of drawing all 2787 named characters. :D One of my students is just starting the Wheel of Time; they were very excited until I told them which book this character shows up in (they are still on book 2). Anyway, enjoy this rare missive from the WoT-addled sector of my brain.
Lews Therin Telamon, champion of the Light.
Light, it’s been YEARS! I’ve been busy getting my Masters degree and life-ing in general, but the #WoTober prompt got me to sketch out this quick portrait. Are more coming? Who knows! But I hope everyone is doing okay in this crazy world, still getting some joy out of this old series. Peace favor y’all’s swords.😁
Okay, I know I'm getting chocolate in my peanut butter again, but here's a short story I just finished about Aunt Beru that I had to share. I dig her an unhealthy amount, and this is my head-cannon on her awesome life. Enjoy!
Here’s something a little different; my own original character. She has her own story; a tragic one set during the Trolloc wars. She also has two Warders (a rule breaker), who’s designs are coming.
Just musing at the moment, but would any of you be interested in this story as a web comic? I must admit how tempting it is to set a story in Randland, especially during the Trolloc wars. Anyway, here’s Colblaith.
Another obscure WoT character. 😉 Rand after Dragonmount is one of my favorite characters to read; here’s him and Tai’daishar catching the last rays of a setting a un, late in the Third Age.
Daigian and Eben, in what will be the poor lad’s final moments. Remember him! Happy holidays, WoT-heads!
Been a busy summer, but I found time to squeeze this guy in; man did he level up in the last book!
