Gremory Land: Margot’s Kink and the True Purpose of the Park

Just checked out the latest episode of Gremory Land on WEBTOON, and I have a feeling next week we are in for another death. It turns out, Margot was the one who killed Bruno’s sister Mia. And that her kink is that she wants Bruno all to herself even if it means spending way too much time at his house. Anyway, despite its creepy atmosphere, the real purpose of the park is to punish those who have committed really foul acts. Think about it, all the attractions were designed to literally expose the foul deeds committed by the main characters and the darkness imprinted in them. Zoey rage on men from being in an abusive family and thinking all men are the enemy and making her an entitled feminist. Jax and his toxic masculinity and cowardice leading to his hatred towards members of the LGBT community for the sake of pretending to be something he’s not. Rami with his repressed anger, Bruno with his depression and guilt over his sisters death. And Margot, a literal parasite who wants Bruno all to herself, to where she killed his sister, and this folks is a very unhealthy obsession. I’m not sure what Beccas kink is, since we literally don’t know anything about her, but it’s safe to say that she made a contract with Gremory after seeing how terrible the friend group actually is. Then I have another thing I wanted to point the name Chandler. I know it’s a bit early, I’m pretty sure Chandler is Gremory who use to be friends with the cast, and they each had a role in ruining his life. That’s all I have for now. Peace!

Thoughts on Flames of the Dark Crystal

Just finished the last book of the Dark Crystal series by J.M. Lee. I have to admit, it was a conclusion well done and brings up the groundwork on the arc of restoring the Crystal and the reimerging of the UrSkeks. Sadly, we know the fate of the characters we’ve grown attach to, since it also brings in the groundwork that ties to the original movie. Since the series takes place before the creation of the Gartham. I’m glad we got to see more of the Mystics and that we got to see some interaction between the cast and UrSu the Master, and UrSan the Swimmer. Overall, we get to see Naia, Kylan, Amri, and Gurjin grow. Not to mention the shipping of Naia and Amri (who I hope we get to meet in the second season). It was great read and I totally recommend it to anyone who is a Dark Crystal fan!

Thoughts on Tides of The Dark Crystal

I have to admit, tides was a game changer. Not only we got a bit of world building with the Sifa and Dousan, but Onica joins the party. I love how the relationship she and Tavra had. We also got to meet the SkekSa Mariner and her mystic counterpart Ursan the swimmer. Overall, the third books focuses on the development of Amri as a character. I’m hoping will get to see him in the second season of the show, and the developing relationship between him and Naia. I also wanted to point out that the Ritual and Gartham Masters make a cameo when the gang was sneaking around Haar trying to figure out what the hell is happening after news of the All Maudras death has spread. Either way, there’s no doubt in my mind that the Skesis who were absent is going to make an appearance in the second season, especially when the Gartham have been introduced at the end of the tenth episode of season one.

Hunger Games Theory: Snows Relationship with his family during the timeline of the Trilogy

Hi everyone, it's been a while since I posted anything, so what better way to do this with my first Hunger Games theory. President Snow is one of my favorite villains in the YA genre, after watching a Youtube video from Story Diver, she gave me an idea on what kind of relationship Snow has with his family during the original trilogy. During the clip about addressing the Mockingjay being illegal as a symbol of rebellion, we're introduced to a family of four consisting of a mother, father, and two daughters. Judging from how neatly they lined up kind of shows how much control Snow has over the lives of the family of the unknown child. My money is on the mother since she didn't hesitate to give Snow direct eye contact while making his address. As for the father, judging from how a bit disheveled he looks gives me an idea that he and Snow do not get along to where he doesn't see him as a worthy successor once he's gone. Then we have the eldest granddaughter, it's easy to see he's pretty much hard on her because she is expected to marry well to a boy from a prominent family in the capital where Snow can easily groom to take his place. As for the youngest granddaughter, we can see from the clips from Catching Fire is that she's his favorite, the one whom he gives the most love and affection despite wanting to become her own person when she started to wear Katniss’s signature braid as part of the latest Capital trend at her school. I guess the main reason why they don't look like everyone else in the capital is on the times when they are seen in public is to soften the image of the dictator towards the districts. Sleeping Beauty: My Favorite Disney Princess

Growing up, I watched the old school Disney movies on VHS, the one movie I had the most affinity for is Sleeping Beauty. By now people are wondering why I favor the princess who had the least amount of lines and screen time, and the most blandest and useless princess? Here me out, after doing some research on Aurora by going through her wiki page, there’s a bit more to her then you think. For starters, even though she obeys the faeries, she secretly doesn’t agree with them. Nor was she keen on the idea of having to marry someone she doesn’t love or know, but was willing to sacrifice her happiness (not knowing that both her betrothed and the boy she fell in love with in the forest are one and the same person). I guess the real reason why she didn’t have much screen time is the fact that Walt and his animators were on a strict budget and had to keep the story going. Also, the reason why she, Snow White and Cinderella were labeled as Damsels in Distress is the fact they are the products of their appropriate time period. Despite that, all three of them have their own traits that make them stand out. For me, what really makes Aurora stand out is her violet eyes, and the pink and blue of her dress. After all, violet eyes is a very rare color among humans, and my favorite color. As for pink and blue, it represents the two sides of her personality. Pink being the colors of romance and being feminine, but it also is a color for of loving yourself and others, representing Auroras kindness to those she meets. Blue is the color that represents depth and stability, symbolizing Aurora has a serious side when it comes to trust, intelligence, and being wise. So, that’s my take on my favorite Disney Princess. This Savage Song, the Anti-Starcross Lovers Story

When it comes to starcross, both lovers die at the end. However, in This Savage Song by Victoria Swab, one dies and another lives. And yet, what ties both Kate and August together that despite being on the opposite sides in the North and South division of Verity is that they are both lonely. Kate wanting to become ruthless in order to get her crime lord father’s approval, and August wanting to become human. Overall, it’s their loneliness that brings them together. This is the first series by Victoria Swab I’ve ever completed. I read her other book the Archive years ago, and never got the chance to finish it. This was before I knew duologies were a thing, since I was so use to reading trilogies. One things for sure, I plan to check out the other books that she has written. What impress me the most is that in each new series, we’re given a new protagonist, along with some different lore and world building in the case of the monsters we meet in all two books. But more importantly, Kate and August’s love for music is the thing that brings them both together.

Lore Olympus Theory: Foreshadowing of Macaria, Milione, and Zagreus.

In case you are wondering about these names, these are the names of the children that Hades and Persephone has in the actual cannon of mythology. Even though Hades is currently infertile right now, Persephone becoming Queen of the Underworld is going to change all that, since it’s revealed she is actually a fertility goddess. Anyway, it’s easy to see that Hades dream is a foreshadowing that he and Persephone are going to have kids. After years of loneliness and isolation, it’s easy to see those two will make great parents and not repeat the mistakes of the situations they’ve been with their own parents. Like Hades not being afraid that the kids will become super powerful and give them the love he never got from Cronus. While Persephone not being a helicopter parent and letting her children make their own decisions and accept they have their own interests and want to become their own person. So, a much while ago, I googled what pink and blue make - and the results were purple! That’s the color the kids will have in the future (fingers crossed). Overall, the current release gives confirmed foreshadowing that the main ship are going to have kids. In case your curious about the kids titles:

Gremoryland Theory: Who is Gremory and our first flashback

After checking out the latest episode of Gremoryland, I realize there is a much deeper story. It’s easy to see that the six friends aren’t as innocent as we thought after diving into our first flashback. First off, we have Zoe. The ideal feminist whose home life is that of a dysfunctional family whose father who physically abuses his wife and daughter’s . Her home life is so bad, that she’s gone into the mindset that all men are entitled jerks who are violent by nature. Then there’s Jax, the toxic example of masculinity who stays silent while two homophobic classmates bullies Rani, and literally dose nothing to stop them. I’m not sure what Rani’s kink is, but we’re about to find out as the series goes on. So far, from what we’re given, he’s a kid with low self esteem issues, and doesn’t try to stand up for himself. As for who Gremory is, that’s going to be a major puzzle to solve. So far, people in the comment section thinks it’s Becca, since she’s the only one whose been calm during the nightmare fuel segments. Or, it could be someone who all six members knew, and had a hand in ruining his or her life, similar to how each member of the Thomson Family from the short lived two part Netflix original series No Good Nick had a role in putting Nicks fathers restraunt out of business and unknowingly ruined her life. (I’m just glad this is one show that isn’t real, but no hate on the actors who play the Thomson’s, since I grew up watching Sabrina the teenage witch, and the Goonies). Now that I got that out of my system, we’re given our first clue as to who Gremory is on the drawing on the chalkboard. It’s a clear sign he or she is a student who goes to the same school the six main characters goes to. That’s all I have for now. Tune in next time until I make an analysis on the next flashback.

My thoughts on Three Dark Crowns

Hi y’all, a few days ago, I finished all four books in the Three Dark Crown series by Kendare Blake. The series I like to call the hunger games sister edition, since one triplet has to kill the other two in order to become queen. There was a lot of world building, but at least it wasn’t over the top like in most fantasy. Where each chapter, we are given a glimpse into each of the triplets life and the relationships they have with their foster families and the friends within the confines of the city they are in. However, my only disappointment in terms of world building is the fact that we never got the chance to check out the poisoner city, while we got glimpses of the capital and the other cities representing the other gifts on the island. My favorite character within the series is Arsinoe, who is supposed to be a naturalist, but is revealed to be the true poisoner of the triplets. Because it’s revealed her mother, the previous queen switched hers and Katharines symbols just to spite the Arrons for all the abuse and mistreatment she endured from them, and give Mirabella the opportunity to become next queen. Despite the slow start, it gets better with each book since this series is all about the bond between sisters and ending the vicious cycle of sisters killing each other so that one can be queen.

Owl House Theory: Who cursed Eda and the Sinister Truth about the Covens

Hello Everyone, after watching TNBT latest analysis on the Owl House, it made me go down deep into the rabbit hole. First off the Covens, it’s easy to see that once that person picks a coven, they are bound to it to where they cannot access other sources of magic. If I have to guess, it’s easy to see the different covens are actually a caste system. And that the Emperor’s Coven is the highest caste, which strangely enough, Edas sister Lily is a part of. And it’s easy to see that the Boiling Isles, and other parts of the magical realm is ruled by an Emperor, whose reveal will be reserved later on in the series. If I have to guess Emperor Bellows might have played a role in cursing Eda. No doubt he might be one of Edas exes, who couldn’t take rejection well so he cursed her. We haven’t gotten far in the series, but it’s easy to see that the Emperor is going to become a major antagonist later on in the series, along with a central figure of Edas past.

My thoughts on Gremoryland

So, I checked out the latest nee horror comic on Webtoon, and I have found something that speaks to the darkness of my soul! We follow six friends who are invited to explore a new theme park before its grand opening. It's only the first three episodes, but I have a theory that the attractions themselves are reflections of events that are connected to the past, and that the six friends are connected to it. For example, is that Margot is connected to the Happy Family attraction. The ride is basically about a family who had it all until the husband lost his job and starts to put out his frustration on his wife. Resulting in her to miscarry their unborn child. If I have to guess, she made a deal with the owner of the theme park in order to bring her baby back to life. And that the son is someone that Margot knew. So, in order to get out of the park, they have to face their fears and find the keys that are hidden. I've also got an idea that the owner of the park targets those who are a witness to a dark deed and want to deny and repress it, or commit dark acts themselves. That's all I have for now!

My Thoughts on the Ghost Bride

So, I’ve been sick for a week, so in order to pass the time, I decided to watch some shows on Netflix. And there was this one that caught my attention: The Ghost Bride. Based on the book that I plan to add to my TBR pile. Moving on, we follow our girl Li Lan, whose given the offer to become the ghost bride of the recently deceased son of a wealthy family. To those of you who don’t know, the idea of ghost marriage is real in Chinese Tradition where one or both parties are deceased and are married in a special ceremony in order to prevent the rise of a restless spirit of the unmarried son. I also wanted to point out that dying single, is not an option. In Li Lans case, she’s being asked to be married to someone who hasn’t been dead for that long, only to be eternally bound to him in the afterlife. Things take a dark turn when the spirit of her ghostly suitor begins to harass her, because he is a terrible person. Hot, but a terrible person! Overall, the show itself has a perfect balance in both humor and horror, and a soft intro to Chinese Folklore. Overall, this is one of those shows that I would watch again.

Hunger Games Prequel reveals Young President Snow to be the Protagonist

President Snow is one of my favorite villains in YA. I love how Suzanne Collins doesn’t need to make him over the top just to show how evil this guy is. Throughout the original trilogy, we don’t know anything about him, other then the fact he has an unarmed granddaughter, every thing else is just blank. If I have to guess, this prequel alone is going to be about how some random boy who comes from very old money who uses his charm and wit to go through the norms of Capital Society, becomes the cruel dictator of Panem. Speaking of the capital, I love how we get to see more of it, in terms of it being a colorful playground for the wealthy, along with the immortality that comes with it.

Thoughts on Song of the Dark Crystal

Hi guys, just finished the second book in the Dark Crystal series, which is basically Kylans story arch. Despite his role being a small, we get to see Rian and meet his mother and younger siblings during the brief stay at Stone In The Wood. Then we head into the caves of Grot and meet Amri, who joins the party under the orders of Maudra Argot, who is by far my favorite of the Maudras. What really got me excited is that we get to meet the Storyteller mystic, and it’s dark half the Satirist. Which is confirmed from his own words that he isn’t taken very seriously among the other Skeksis, and view him as nothing but a joke, something I’ve suspected while looking into his wiki. Don’t want to spoil too much, but this book is pretty much Kylans arch where he’s given the opportunity to develop as a character and beating the Satirist in his own game when it comes to the Arathim. Not to mention Tavra is now a spider. We’re also given some foreshadowing about the Gartham and SkekUngs future title when the Saririst was giving a last minute roast. My thoughts on the Owl House

Hello again, this time I’m here to tell you my thoughts on the Owl House, one of Disney’s newest shows. And boy did it fit my expectations. The animation is flawless, and the characters are amazing. So we follow our protagonist Luz, a girl who loves fantasy, but doesn’t fit in either at home or at school. She fines a portal that takes her to the magical realm called the Boiling Isles, where she meets Eda, a roughe witch who refuses to convert to the circle most witches are bound to in this magical society. Then we have King, a cute little monster voiced by Gravity Falls creator Alex Hirsch (so cute I’m thinking about adding his Funko Pop to my collection). Then we have the Warden, our first major antagonist in the series who wears a plague doctor mask who is a bit smitten by Eda due to the fact that she escapes getting caught by his guards - to the point that he wants to date her and doesn’t plan to give up anytime soon. While the basis of Amphibia focuses on what it’s like have a genuine friendship, Owl House focuses on finding a family among fellow outcasts who refuse to fit the cookie cutter mole of society (which to me is a basic blueprint for dystopian world). Overall, Dana Terrace the creator of the Owl House gives an interesting message that there’s more to life then fitting into a single group, following your dreams despite the impossible, and finding a family in the most unlikely of places.
