Catching Up || Adam and Cole
Cole caught the shirt, holding it in front of him as he looked down and read it. He set it aside, not bothering to put it back from wherever Adam had picked it up from. “I think I’d rather go with the classic ‘Female Body Inspector’ but I think just taking my shirt off works as a better chick magnet.”He looked around the dark scene covered in all the toys that they’d wanted to mess around with when they were young enough to think it made them cool. He saw the error in his ways now, but he was glad no one could look back at him in time.
Cole found his way next to Adam, looking at the silver pens and gaudy cases that literally everything was in. He picked one up and inspected it, fighting the urge to buy it. He put it back down and walked past Adam, pulling on the beads jokingly as he passed by. “Why the hell did we think this was a fun place? Are you sure we weren’t already drinking?” he shook his head at all the novelties surrounding them.
Adam grabbed a can of metallic blue paint, nodding, a small smirk forming on his face. "It's questionable," he answered absent-mindedly as he flipped the can in his hand. "How much trouble do you think we'd get in?" He eyed the can and then looked up at Cole, his eyes dancing with mischief. The urge to recreate their childhood was strange, as Adam usually liked to push it to the back of his mind. Not that he had a bad childhood, just that it was not worth dwelling on, since it usually made him sad. But tonight, it was different. He felt like a child again, and it seemed perfectly acceptable to act like one as well.
"I'm buying this," he confirmed as he walked toward the register, accidentally knocking a rubber chicken off its hook. He didn't bother to pick it up. The floor of this place was often littered with novelty items since they were so poorly organized. He put the can on the counter, eyeing the punk rocker on the other side. Since spending time in Alabama with his late friend, Adam had started noticing more and more attractive men. He was licking his lips, a stupid grin on his face when he noticed Cole standing beside him. He instantly straightened up, pulling out his wallet.
They call him that because he deals to a lot of people.
Alright we’re done here.
Alright. Homeward bound, Miss Kensington.
There he is. See? Was I lying? No.
Thank you Mike.
He's a little... tiny, to be called Big Mike, don't ya think?
Right. And you just happen to be an expert on class?
Big Mike does exist.
I think I'd know a thing or two...
Big mike? Really? Alright, well let's see the magic then.
Can I help you?
I’m just going to invoke my right to remain silent on that matter now. However as far as Molly goes, other than the fact that I didn’t do what she wanted me to and that I made a mistake, no not really.
Ouch. Women can harness that anger for ages it seems, especially family.
If it's any consolation, I'm pretty sure Addison is still pissed at me. She's just putting up with me so that I won't go live in a motel room.
It’s called having class, Adam. Learn to get some please. You make me look pathetic.
You wouldn't know class if it hit you in the face, Addison.
Mike doesn't even exist, does he?
Um…go 10 blocks and take a right.
Is this the place? Doesn't look like any dealer's place I've ever seen.
Shut the hell up and get in the car.
Don't tell me to shut up.
Fine... where to?
Can I help you?
Yeah, she’s nice until she’s not.
No problem. Honestly, if I ever locked myself out I’d hope there’d be some willing to put me up for a bit.
Well if I ever manage to get my own place, I'll return the favor. Although I don't think Addy would mind coming home to you there, either. Especially if you were locked out.
So Molly -- any reason why she's so cold lately?
Damn, I think I’m out of gas!
I knew you didn't have it in you.
