Please take the time to learn about ME…….
Rosie, You deserve someone who loves you with every beat of his heart, someone who will always be there for you, and who will love every part of you, especially your flaws. I know Katie needs her Dad - and I don’t want to intrude. So if this is all wrong, just ignore it and I promise I’ll never broach the subject again. Greg’s not the man for you, Rosie. Twice I’ve let you slip through my fingers. Let’s stop being afraid and take the chance. I know now I can make you happy. Call me if you feel the same way. Love, Alex.
I love this film <3
Your friendship has brought glorious technicolor to my life. It’s been there in the darkest of times, and I am the luckiest person alive for that gift. I hope I didn’t take it for granted. I think maybe I did, because sometimes you don’t see that the best thing that’s ever happened to you is sitting there, right under your nose. But that’s fine too, it really is. Because I’ve realized that no matter where you are, or what you’re doing, or who you’re with, I will always, honestly, truly, completely, love you.
Love, Rosie (via mayeyeyeng)
it’s been exactly 10 years since Rachel got off that plane and I’m still not over it.
Dear Mr Gove...
Dear Mr Gove,
Here is my open letter to you, discussing my pure disgust that you want to scrap A Level Film/Media studies in schools. Firstly, do you ever visit any schools or colleges? Because how can you make a law without even knowing anything about PUBLIC education.
I am now going to give you many reasons why you should not scrap this SUPPOSED "soft" subject:
1. Media/Film studies is more vital for education than you think.
Yes, subjects such as English Literature are very important... but so are vocational courses! Media/ Film Studies is the modern new version of English literature.. people learn so much from watching or reading the media. Films tell life lessons and stories. Media studies and production is an amazing subject because you learn from both sides of the coin... you learn about how to be creative and create a great piece of Art as well at the same time, writing film analysis which inspires some great writing and English Language skills. It also combines other subjects in one, such as History, business, politics and work- ready skills.
The media is such a huge part of everyday life now.. you cannot ignore it. Eventually everybody will be using the media and " reading" and " analysing" the media. Times are changing... and Media is now becoming a very academic subject. I mean you wouldn't think a "soft" subject would have its own terminology and vocabulary. Of which, also, by the way expands upon the English Language and vocabulary. For example, the words non-media students would probably wouldnt understand such as "mise en scene" etc.
2. If it wasn't for A Level Media studies...I would not be where I am now along with thousands of other people.
I would have not gone to University... as I feel I was not as passionate about a subject as I was about this one! As soon as I did A Level Media I knew it was the career for me whilst also at the same time being a hobby I loved... what person/student can say they love their subject .. not many... you would not see many students saying they love most of the "academic" subjects. However I am not saying Media is not an academic subject.. because believe me it is.. I have worked so so hard and the subject is not as "easy" or as " soft" as you think.
3. I would have not had an amazing opportunity to work within the Media Industry.
Myself and many of my friends who did A level Media and a degree in Media have got a job in the Media Industry. It was my dream, and I know it is many other student's/ teenager's dreams... please do not ruin that.
4. I would not have become a college teacher AT ALL. This is for the simple reason that I could not teach any other subject, because I love Media, Film, Television studies and production so so much! I have a passion, along with so many other people. I teach Media students and every day I see how inspired, talented, and passionate they are about the subject. Most want to pursue it at University and thus have a career in it. Also, this might mean that us MEDIA teachers might lose our jobs, or they may be left with hardly any job opportunities.
Just tell me one thing Mr Gove, you were obviously so so passionate about law and politics... what if somebody took away your chance to study a subject that you were so passionate about. A subject which gives many students motivation to get a decent education at University and then perhaps find an amazing career in the film industry and/or become an amazing Media teacher...
In so many ways this is so wrong. Please don't upset so many people. If you know so much about Education, you know that motivation and passion is the key to any students' success. Please dont de-motivate students by thinking they cannot reach their dreams and aspirations. I personally do not know what I would have done without studying A Level Media Studies. It is so close to my heart and has really made me the person I am today. Please, Please, do not deny people of that...
Thanks,
Yours Sincerely,
Amelia May Mulchinock
What I love about this scene is that even though she’s crying, he’s is more pained than her. Because he thinks that it’s too late, at least she gets a chance to really move on, but he will never be able to.
<3 love this film! <3
Reblog if your mom is beautiful.
I carry you in my heart...
"I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart)I am never without it (anywhere I go you go,my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing,my darling) I fear no fate (for you are my fate,my sweet)I want no world (for beautiful you are my world,my true) and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart)”

i’m in love with my best friend
i dont know what to do
if something should happen and our friendship should end
i’ll lose someone close, and a part of me too
i’m in love with my best friend
he’s been there all those times
he’s carried all my burdens
he’s heard of all the crimes
not only...
I'm not blogging much any more... think its cos my life is so hectic at the moment.. So much has happened. Half the time I don't even have time for myself! It is because I have two jobs, a trainee teacher and a sales assistant ( at the weekend) and also currently nearly half way through a teaching degree... so that's a quick update.... even if its stressful.. teaching can be so rewarding at times...
The worst part about being strong is that people never think to ask if you’re ok.
