- Don’t forget me.
- I won’t remember anything else.
“The TARDIS, being aware of all time simultaneously, was also aware that Clara was the precise motivator that would drive the Doctor to an extreme that was dangerous for all of time and space. The TARDIS knew that although the Doctor loved Clara very much, she was bad for him and that the coming of the Hybrid would be a result of their association.”
—
Steven Moffat responding to a question as to why the TARDIS disliked Clara (from Doctor Who Magazine #504, September 23, 2016)
Wow! Even the TARDIS knew that the Doctor loved Clara.
Steven Moffat, the man who created Eleven, Twelve and Clara, said these words. Is that canon enough for you? The TARDIS didn’t “like” Clara, because the Doctor ‘loved” Clara too much.
my gay ass wasn’t ready for this
I guess this is as good a time as any.
i think it’s safe to say that ITV didn’t rob us of much if of anything at all this season, but here is the PBS version of Warp and Weft Vicbourne edition anyway
no extra Melbourne scenes in 2x03, nothing extra Vicbourne proper really (both major Vicbourne fragments, that is, the ball and the goodbye, are exactly the same as in the ITV version), just (neglectably) extended versions of the scenes:
1. between Melbourne and Emma Portman before the costume ball (the blasted rooks are mentioned, yes) - this one is probably most justified, the extended version does look… well, fuller. we didn’t get enough of these two’s relationship. among other things ofc;
2. between Melbourne and Albert at Westminster Hall (Albert asks if there is anything he could do for Melbourne, and Melbourne asks the prince not to tell Victoria about his illness) - i want to say i’m warming up to Albert because of this uncharacteristic display of empathy and offer of support but i have seen the rest of the season and the current temperature of my hands is about the warmest i can be to Albert. to give you an idea about the current temperature of my hands - i was taking off my bra now and let me just say my back wasn’t overly fond of being touched by my fingers;
3. between Albert and Victoria, when he tells her about Melbourne’s illness
