I’m sure this has been pointed out before, but I was thinking about Deep Breath earlier and-

Look, I know the TARDIS was knocking about in a dino tummy, but after the Doctor regenerates he happens to do really irrational things to try to figure out who he is again.

Clara has total snog hair. So part of me likes to think he just randomly grabbed her face and started snogging her cuz something in his brain told him that he loves the short one.
