“You’re such a stick in the mud.”
“What? No, I’m not. I’m, uh, plenty of fun enough, when I’m not in here.”
“What’s your name?”
“I’m Addison, what’s yours?”
“Then don’t take ‘em.”
“Well, uh, I mean... I’m not exactly keen to get into trouble, yeah?”
nodeathcantouch-thecrookedyoung:
“There’s not much here that is very useful.”
“Yeah, I’m starting to notice that. Not that I thought it would be very useful in the first place.”
“What kind of medicine is it?”
“It’s supposed to be some sort of anti-anxiety medicine, I think, I don’t really remember what it was called. But it’s not very useful, since it’s really not helping anything.”
“I’ve only been taking this medicine for about a week, but I already hate it. I feel like a zombie.”
Feris had encountered a few too many bad people already, and it was getting hard to accept. He just accepted it with gritted teeth, admitting it to himself like swallowing vomit. He wanted to get out, but in some sick way, he wanted to dive in head first, indulge in the cloyingly succulent mania and just- for the love of god- he wanted to set something on fire. With all this shit on his mind, he was useless, nervously fidgeting with strangers of his hair as he sat on a couch, legs crossed beneath him.
Ever since his run in with David, Addison had been on his toes. He flinched at every sound, and stayed in his room to avoid meeting any new people. As well, he had made him self sick a few times, just so he could have the comfort of going to the infirmary, even though they knew he was doing it to himself, and faking it. But, Addison was bored of just sitting in his room, dissociating in and out of his days. He wandered into the common area, wanting something to do. Spotting a very nervous boy, he eyes him suspiciously, before asking him, “Are you okay?”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t know anyone was in here..”
“Well, uh, I mean, I could leave, if you need me to...”
She changes pace, quickly. “Is that where you’re from? Odessa? Where is that?”
“Odessa, that’s in Texas. Yeah, it’s where I’m from.”
“You’d think eventually you’d just get used to the taste and be able to ignore, but nope, not happening.”
“I don’t think that’ll ever happen, the food here is some of the worst I’ve ever tasted.”
Balling his fists up, David had to resist going ballistic. This kid ruined his good time, he was a little shit. If he really wanted to, he could start with Addison, but what was the point when he could hear security coming for him? He wasn’t that stubborn. When the security entered the room, David just stepped away from Addison, holding his hands up. “I won’t be in solitary long, kid. I’ll be back. You’re fucking dead when I do.”
Relief flooded him as security entered the room, watching as David stepped back. Shakily, he stands to his feet, with help of one of the guards. The threat hit him hard, because he knew the other wasn’t lying. Addison adverts his eyes, glancing down at the floor, still dissociating, but less so, ever so slightly less so. He wipes his eyes, glancing up at the man, who stood at least a head taller than him, “You won’t do anything,” he says, more so lying to himself than anything.
“Only girls are named ‘Addison’ nowadays.” He glared at Addison, almost wanting to smack the other for calling him stupid. But he didn’t want to ruin anything. The longer David took in starting, the easier it’d be for Addison to get help, for him to scream or for someone to just walk in. Everything was fine until Addison screamed. He was being as compliant and David excepted him to, at least right now. Pulling away, nostrils flaring, David grabbed another handful of Addison’s hair, slamming the boy’s head into the wall. “Shut up. You’re so fucking noisy.” He shouting through his teeth. There was nothing he could do now. They were coming and he was going to get thrown in solitary much quicker than he’d suspected.
He cradles his head when the other slams it into the way, feeling tears well up in his eyes. Well, that could’ve been worse, right? Addison half expected the other to just continue anyways, or to beat him within an inch of his life. Still, he was happy he finally found it within himself to yell out. This was real, and he couldn’t let anything cloud it. He wished the security guards could get here quicker, though he heard their footsteps down the hall. Despite his spinning head, Addison looks around for his shirt, his other hand starting to pull up his bottoms.
Addison not helping was a little frustrating, it made things harder, but he got them off. Of course, when David heard his name, he scoffed. “Of course you have a fucking girl’s name. Well Addison, you better be ready.” He teased, pressing kisses along the smaller boy’s jaw “David.” He knew that with his name, Addison could get him into incredible amounts of trouble, but in this place he knew that he was going to get in trouble for it anyway. Finally pushing down Addison’s bottoms. He was getting a lot more excited now..This was his favorite part.
“It’s not a girl’s name, but I bet you’re too stupid to know that,” he say, defensively, but with little bite in his voice. Addison tilts away from his kisses, feeling more vulnerable by the second. He nods slightly when the other tells him his name, biting his lip uncomfortably. This was his last moment to stop it, to put an end to this. All it would take was one scream, right? Lord knows what David would do if he did, but he knew what he was about to do if he didn’t. It was all too real, the situation piercing through the dissociating, his chest heaving. Suddenly not even thinking about the consequences, he yells at the top of his lungs, “Help me!”
“Because they don’t really care about your safety or comfort, they just want the money they’ll get from having you here. Besides, I think you’ll be safe, unless you’ve got a level three roommate.”
“Well, yeah, they’re a business, but it’s not good business if we get killed in here, yeah? Level three? I don’t think I have one of those, but I haven’t really talked to them.”
“Fine, I’ll play. What do your parents think is wrong with you, then?” she asks, arms crossed and a dubious brow raised, an attempt at pressing and provoking him.
“Derealization-slash-Depersonalization disorder. Which, you know, I might have, but that’s no reason to send me all the way here when they could’ve just gotten me a therapist in Odessa.”
It was a genuine surprise when Addison didn’t scream. He didn’t want to have to deal with kicking his ass further for being disobedient. As much as he enjoyed hurting others, it was a hassle to chase someone down four times. Rolling his eyes at Addison’s refusal, glared “Fine. It’s just going to hurt that much more.” David began to slowly undress Addison, deciding to also take off his top layers. Pulling them off one by one, he stared the boy down “What’s your name, kid?” Usually, he didn’t like to know the names of his victims, but this one was adorable, and he figured that since they’re locked up..He could do it over and over again. He wanted to be familiar with him, even if Addison clearly wanted nothing to do with David.
Addison’s limbs went limp as the other started to undress him, not struggling, but certainly not helping him either. As his jacket and shirt came off, he shivered, partially because of the cold, and because of his fear. He glanced up at the man, considering lying. But what would be the point, especially in this situation, “Addison Darling,” he says, “What’s yours?” He hoped the other would tell him, so he could tell someone later. At that thought, Addison thought of something else: What if no one believed him? He had lied about things like this before, and far worse. Why would anyone believe him now, especially considering the only thing he wanted to do since he got here was to go home. That thought made the situation all the worse, pushing further into his dissociation.
Even if Addison lied, David couldn’t afford to keep his hand on his throat. He need to be able to touch the boy. And he didn’t want him blacking out on him due to lack of oxygen, it wasn’t as fun. So even if Addison misbehaved..David didn’t have choice. Releasing his grip on his throat, David glanced down at Addison’s pants “Take off your bottom layers for me, small fry.”
Addison gasps when David releases, desperately gulping down hair in case David tried the same thing. He glances around the room, seeing no one even near. He was tempted to scream, but he feared what would happen if he did, and if anyone would even hear him. At the order, he stares back at the other, hardly believing what he was hearing. “I’m not going to do your work for you,” he says, voice small, and full of fear. Though, honestly, he didn’t move because he didn’t want the other to see how much his hands want to shake, and certainly didn’t want to just give into his orders just like that. Addison would have his dignity.
