I woke abruptly as the cart bumped to a stop. I looked around at where we had stopped we where at the edge of a wide forest it looked like it went on for miles. "Sorry Lass this is as far as I go,ā I looked at the kind gentlemen that gave me a ride all the way here he had a bald spot and tufts of white hair with a thick white mustache. "That's fine sir here,ā I reached into my bag and pulled out two pieces of goldĀ āHere I know itās been a rough year take it.ā He looked at me curiously but didnāt questionĀ ā Goodbye Lass and good luck,āĀ āGoodbye.ā I looked at the forest, It looked as if it would shallow me whole, but this is where i needed to be i swallowed my fear and took my first step into the forest.
I walked for about an hour and the forest was wonderful it had all kinds of different plants and mushrooms you couldnāt find anywhere else. It was gorgeous and yet there was a heavy atmosphere like the forest was hiding something. I looked around and was baffled at what had meet my eyes, It was a cottage it was definitely abandoned it had holes in the roof and out of control vines but besides that it looked very put together. I set decided to stay here it would need a little work but i didnāt come across this by accident it must be fate. I unpacked what little i had taking the sage out of my packet and lighting it, this place definitely needed a cleansing at least to make me feel better. Sighing i walked over and sat on a dusty chair it had been a long journey from my village, but it was all worth it i finally get a fresh start in a new place. I felt something nudge against my foot i looked down a it was My familiar Ivy She is a fluffy fox with red fur she was quite big up to my waist now, she had been with me since i was about ten when i had stated my training and Ivy was notĀ a happy fox,Ā āIām sorry i had to what would people have thought if i was just walking around with you like a common house pet,ā she huffed and stretched out on the floor looking at me with a hateful look. I t popped out a piece of jerky and tossed it to her she took it happily. I stood up and looked around the house it was dirty and was going to take a while too fix.Ā āLets get this started,ā i huffed as i picked up a broom that was laid on the floor.
I watched as she walked around that house, she was in my forest, why did the forest let her in. i lurked in the shadows i was going to keep a close eye on this woman.
