My evening!
With a sniffl Addison got to her feet. “Now what on this earth makes you think you can just come up and talk to my daughter? I don’t know who the fuck you are from a whole in the wall.” Addison was a mother bear but she lost Arrow once. She wasn’t taking chances again
“Damn girl. I get you feel like crap, but you don’t have to yell at people who are just trying to be nice.” She shook her head at the miserable woman. “I ain’t nobody to get excited about. Just boring old human Tallulah. But you ought to get yourself home and in bed.”
“I don’t like strangers talking to my daughter. Just because you give me you name doesn’t mean you can just come up and catch with her. So move along because I feel just fine.” She glared
“I’ve never been so sick in my whole life.” Addison sniffled into her tea And groaned. Taking a small sip before looking back at her laptop. She was in her normal spot in the coffee shop, curled in her oversized hoodie. Glancing over at her daughter who’s face was right in a book. Like mother like daughter
Kris looked at her sadly as he pushed more soup towards her. “I’m sorry.” He whispered. “Is there anything I can do to help?”
“Nope.” She said simply and continued to type away. Addison would be her own demise. Sick and she should be resting. Should have asked to stay with her sister instead of moving out of her run down apartment to live in her car so she could find a nicer place for her and Arrow. She should take time off from school, she should do a lot of things. But she was stubborn. Addison blew her red and raw nose again with an exhausted sigh
“Do I look old enough to drink?” She questioned. “Also, no thank you. Alcohol is poison.” Addison dipped her tea and looked back at her half written paper. This was do in a few hours and she had work later. Today was gonna be rough
“Well hell, age never stopped me from drinking. “She winked. “But it is poison, I’ll give you that. Has its uses though.” It looked like the girl was working on something on top of being sick, that couldn’t be fun. “You ought to be home in bed with a sniffle like that. Whatcha workin on?”
“Well that’s great for you. Clearly your not responsible for another being.” She said ignoring the being home comment. To he honest, she was slowly starting to skip out on rent. Where she lived wasn’t the place for her daughter, she need to save money for a new home. Esaier said then done. “A paper.” She said simply
Tallulah laughed. :”You’re a pistol! I like that. Nah, I ain’t got kids, and that’s a damned good thing. I can’t get myself straight, let alone look after little ones.” She smiled at the little girl. “Aren’t you a cutie! My name’s Tallulah Belle Abernathy. What’s yours?”

Tallulah was picking up her usual latte with four shots of espresso when she heard a sniffling sound. She looked over toward the source and saw a pretty young woman sitting with a little girl, looking thoroughly miserable. “Whiskey,” she said, walking over with a smile. “Hot tea with honey, and a shot of whiskey. It’ll clear that right up.

“….kay…..but they do now that now a days it’s weird…..right? No one has dance parties at there house.” She said. “They have just…..house parties. With alcohol. Lots of alcohol.”
Kris laughed. “You do know the average age of Celtius is 500 right? There are home dances all the time, you’ve just never been invited to one.” He winked at her jokingly before taking her hand. “And there will be alcohol here, champagne.”
Kris smiled as he leaned down once they entered the ballroom. “So these are my friends… well friends is a very lenient term more like aquantences…. they’re very… odd so don’t believe a single word out of their mouth.”
“Who…..who has a ball room in their house.” She said bluntly looking up at him. She nodded her head. “Okay. Don’t trust anyone. Got it. Probably won’t have even without the warning.”
Kris shrugged as he laughed. “It came with the house when I bought it. Some warlock was moving to France and he’d been around since the 1200s so he had a ballroom built when they built the house.”
She shook her head. “Supernaturals are an odd blunch but okay. Whatever makes your happy.” Addison hummed happily and looked up at him.

Walking into the house kris was immediately hit by the sound of classical music wafting through the air. “Come on this way.” He whispered in her ear leading her to the ball room.
She followed behind him through the house. Looking at everything around his house. The women looked at the things on the wall before his eyes fell back on the older male. This was definitely a different kind of date.

Kris frowned. “Do you want me to take you home?” He asked. “You don’t seem too excited about this.”
She shook her head. “No I am. I’m just saying it’s weird. Sue me for growing up and different time period where house dance parties aren’t a normal thing. And I just don’t drink. I don’t like alcohol nor can I actually drink it because of my heart.”
Kris sighed. “I’m not saying that you can’t grow up in a different time, I’m just saying it’s not that weird here… come on I’m sure everyone is waiting for us.”
“If you say so.” She said following him as they walked inside the house.

“Yes but it’s still. It’s 2018.” She said following him to the house and fixing her skirt. “Oh? That nice, I don’t drink.”
“Yes but you’re also alive now, Kris. Like I’m sure you’ve kept up with the times.” She said sitting on the conter too. “Anyway, no one we’re gowns much anymore but I would love that. A big pretty gown….sometimes I wish I was born a princess.”
“Because they heard I wanted to take you out dancing and they insisted I show you the proper way. Back in the day they didn’t have clubs, you would go to someone’s house to dance.
