Today I cried tears of joy because I got my copy of the After Death Life Again zine. I feel like words can't properly convey just how much this means to me, but I'll try!

Disco Elysium came to me at a very dark period of my life. The covid lockdowns meant I had to move back to my hometown right after coming out as trans to my family. I was also dealing with the fallout of an abusive relationship that left me in shambles. Elysium gave me a world in which I could safely explore some very intense feelings, through the stories of Harry, Kim and other characters. It gave me joy too, in a time where that was very hard to come by.

Furthermore, though I've been in fandom spaces all my life, having a zine in my hands felt like an out-of-reach dream. I live in Mexico and sadly our currency and wages make it impossible to compensate the hard work of the immensely creative people behind projects like these.

However, now I can hold this beautiful zine full of amazing art and writing in my hands. It's a dream come true. And that's all thanks to every fan who contributed and also the incredible zine organizers who managed all the logistics. I am so grateful to all of you and I hope you know that I will cherish this gift for as long as I live.
