Isn't it fun when you have no plans to include any actual plot points with a character besides their name, and then they suddenly become integral to the plot many chapters later, and you realize that means you have to actually characterize a character that was never really characterized in canon?
Because that just happened. Cool.
I've visited this exhibit several times over the years, but it is always humbling to see.

I sooo wish we'd gotten more time with Kasumi. I picture Kasumi as the bad influence who is also the overprotective best friend, without being the sputtering, flustered mess that Tali is (who definitely has a crush on Femshep). I can also picture Kasumi and Femshep hooking up once in a moment of weakness before the beam run in ME3, then laying in the bed together like David and Stevie in Schitt's Creek, looking mortified, and agreeing it was a terrible idea and that if they both survive, it will never, ever, EVER happen again.

The problem with writing longfics and rare pairs is sometimes you just want to read a longfic and get lost in it, and specifically you want to read someone else's version of a pair because you're sick of your own version of the pair, but then you go to look and the fics are either one shots, incomplete for several years, or they're so rare they're just...not there at all âšď¸
It's once again "NY turns into Mars" season. Who needs oxygen, anyway? I'm going to build a filtered horse stall and a filtered turkey coop at this rate -.-
I feel like there has not been a day since I first played Mass Effect that I haven't thought about Mass Effect and I'm not sure what that says about my life.

I actually recommend everyone write for a rarepair once because it completely changes your relationship with fandom. Engagement stops being numbers and starts being names. You know who's going to show up. You recognize usernames. Someone disappears for a while and then comes back and you're like âOH MY GOD WELCOME HOME.â It's incredibly wholesome. It is also deeply inconvenient when all six of you simultaneously get writer's block-
