i want to put my thoughts behind this: this was supposed to be a piece for pride month, titled "you were loved". the sky is the color of the aroace flag (just upside down)!

basically, i wanted to show an aroace person — an old aroace person, to be precise. being aroace myself, i am always told that i will forever be lonely and miserable if i don't get a partner. so showing grace, who is aroace to me, as old and happy and fulfilled and oh so loved by his best friend, was really important to me <3

crazy to me that the two big ryland grace ships (from what i’ve seen at least) are the most opposite characters EVER- simon the convict from iron lung and douchebag superstar tom ryder from the fall guy

personally i dislike starstruck (tom x grace) but that is solely bc i think ryder is The Worst and has no redeeming qualities during/post TFG, but like idc if ppl ship them and i can understand the appeal of the concept

i do think simon would tear ryder apart if they ever met and it would be hilarious especially to colt. plus it makes simon seem wayyy better in colt’s eyes bc he’s being compared to the guy that broke colt’s back, framed him for murder, and tried to kill him so… despite simon’s whole deal i think colt is the #2 bloodymary fan (#1 being rocky obvi)

personally i watched The Fall Guy first and fucking loved it and continued to rewatch it over 2 years and then i watched PHM and found out about the coltland twins au + coltland gentry which led me to watching The Gray Man

i don’t think a lot of people understand how important it is to me that Ryland Grace, the main character from a popular book and movie, being commonly headcanoned as aroace with little to no romance involved. his relation to rocky as a companion and best friend is the relationship that people talk about the most. the power of friendship saved the day with no unnecessary b-plot romance. local man loved humanity and his alien best friend so much he saved both of their galaxies and planets. that’s so awesome, sometimes i’d never thought i’d see something like this

thinking abt the tragedy of dean remembering the father john was before mary died and sam not, and how that effects each of their views of him. sam never saw the kind of man he was/could have been, so he never expected better, but dean knew that john had once been a truly loving and caring father, and despite everything, he hoped john could be that man again— but he never was
