at his nudge, maia’s gaze followed deacon’s indication and, catching sight of the behaviour in question, rolled her eyes. “ cruel would be to set it on fire yourself, ” maia stated wryly. “ betting on that is just taking stock of the consequences —- and for the record, i'm not taking that action. i don’t see any tyche kids playing, and there are way too many hermes kids around for there not to be mischief involved soon. ” in fact, she thought it was more likely to be a when, not an if. “ how long do you give them? ”

left lotus hotel/arrived at camp w a satyr named chester, after the gods got their little talking to from good ol’ percy to claim their fucking kids, so missed the second titan war (and, you know, wwii) but was around for the second giant war
fairly similar powers to nico —- other than a few skeleton things during her time on the run from monsters and a pervasive sense of death, her first real display of powers was cryokinesis but she and chester didn’t exactly link it to her until later and they were like... oH. she’s no ghost king! but working theory is that she has many of the same powers, though not all, but she’s not exactly tested them like nico has (no wandering through tartarus or ghosting people for maia)
she can be hard to get to know but like
she is SO fucking proud of the camp and the campers aight like she saw how all these kids built life around tragedy after the second titan war and she was like Dang and then she did it with them in the second giant war and she just... loves them and the camp sm and she’s so fiercely proud holy shit like they’re not afraid to die but they cling to life and she’s like ?? incredible. astounding. show stopping.
her mother and aunt used to read tarot in their evenings for a moonlight job and she’s a hecate legacy from a few generations back (maybe why her aunt alessandra saw through the mist) so she’s always been a little fond of them

but really she is Open to all the campers, though she thinks half of their parents are nonsense (big side eye at zeus huh) so that’d extend to some kids who esp take after their parents
but still like —- whether or not you like them, truth is that in a lot of ways, it’s demigods against the world?? so there will always always be that in her opinion
surprisingly good at scrapping for someone who seems composed maybe but she grew up in a poorer immigrant area and she was always having to hold her own with and against the other kids, and then she was on the run for a while before she ended up in the lotus casino so ?? she primarily thinks about things w strategy and words these days but she can tussle and scrap
she gets exasperated and she's pragmatic and she doesn't know how to let things go, but she does really love the camp so much truly
