Bunch of stuff from these silly guys I created after searching a bunch of hylics characters, no order just chaos.

They pretty much live in the middle of nowhere or well the archipelago is in the middle of nowhere. Mostly aquatic, inspired by starfish obviously, they aren't the only inhabitants with two other species who have a long and complicated story.

The archipelago is strangely lively, not only by this colorful array of inhabitants but also by the sheer quantity of vegetation and little creatures. They don't have beaches but a wide mountain that encircles them (actually they are living on a volcanic crater millennia old) due to that they don't suffer the arch environment of the ocean around them and life can thrive.

This guys (not really good with names even less naming a whole species) are actually really good mimics, although you will only see them do that when they travel to other archipelagos. The picture at the beginning of the post is just one of the 'silly' things they do, half imitation of species that are currently living near them. With time, resources and experience they can look exactly like a Wayne or any other creature. Although there isn't any reason to do that, they do it more as a show of skills among each other.

The skeleton is the same one of the starfish, although much more elastic and manipulable. They don't have a core structure and even if they losa a limb they can regrow it (I imagine that as an enemy the final phase would be only the head since they can survive a decapitation). The control of the growth is what makes them perfect mimics and gives them a wide variety of aspects.

Small redesign of my starfish based species, they can mimic to some extent other species. Using the many appendage on the "skull" they shape them until the desired form is obtained, it's usually made to pass more like a local when they go exploring.

fuck it. be creative even if you never really *make* anything. write out plot synopses of stories and then move on. design OCs you'll never use. make mood boards and concept art and don't do anything with them. life's too short to forget everything that inspired you and creation doesn't have to be "complete" to be worth the time you put into it.

Maybe the reason the Waynes started mutating is because H2 Wayne was indeed supposed to become the next Old Wayne. He wasn't there to transform though, and another Wayne wasn't appointed before Old Wayne died.... Maybe Old Wayne was the source of the hive mind, and with his death came the death of the network. All Waynes became untethered from one another. The pheromones put out by Old Wayne to keep the hive in order were gone. No one could appoint a new Old Wayne because regular Waynes/ Decres don't have that ability....

comes with the “gibby is some kind of unnatural creation/robot whatever” headcannon but his body is primarily bronze or some similar otherworldly material, and everyone just thinks he’s wearing an ancient suit of armor. who am I to question anyways. Uriah eventually gets used to his indecisiveness and switch-ups and here the dynamic is comically exaggerated but also pretty accurate to what she’d deal with on a good day

people might think creating OC lore involves a lot of thinking & planning, but in my personal experience, OC development is more like a divine vision from a god slamming you over the head with a mallet while ur doing the fuckin dishes or folding laundry
