Context: Same group as the sensitive Knight. One of the players interrupted the game to be upset that she broke her nail, so I made it that her character (a pretentious male rogue) had broken his nail. We all had a good laugh, and I made it a reoccurring thing.

Rogue: I roll to stab! *rolls a 1*

Me: You move to stab the creature, but at the sight of your hand and it’s pitiful missing nail- you drop the dagger instead.

Rogue: DAMMIT.

So because my DM works SO HARD to put together more campaign every week, she and I have decided to both run bi-weekly campaigns so she has more time to relax. I’ve never DM’d before, but I’m super excited!

This is the first overworld map the players will encounter; the Marnmouth Swamp. It’s the fastest way to reach the great plains, where the country’s largest city sits, and is west of the Druidic Wilds.

It’s got 1 temple, 2 settlements (who are at odds), 4 main quests, and 1 discoverable sidequest (along with one discoverable NPC). There’s a town not far away with a lot more to do (snail races, shopping, an Inn/Tavern and travelers as well as a skeevy map salesman), and… yeah. I’m Pumped.

If anyone has any tips for a new DM, pls hmu!

Doing this would be extra fantastic because suddenly all of the pre-printed inauguration memorabilia “45th President” stuff Trump has made would suddenly be made inaccurate, as Biden would technically own that title. So they’d either have to scramble to make a bunch of new stuff OR they’d have to go through with the Inauguration without any “46th President” t-shirts or hats or whatever OR all the Trump supporters would just have to buy merchandise that was technically inaccurate.
