I have watched episode 20 & 21. I can now breath, sleep and live properly. Maybe I invested myself into this drama like an idiot. But honestly, I have no regrets at all. Yeah! I enjoyed watching the drama from the very start because it talks about friendship, family, happenings and most especially love (just like Reply 1997). Right from the start, I chose to be on Team Chilbong.
I don’t know why but I like his character. He’s a great baseball player, friend, handsome boy and MOST ESPECIALLY a lover and maybe because he looks much younger than Trash oppa.
As the drama goes by, Chilbong became attracted to Najeong.
“At a time in my life when I had nothing left if you took baseball away from me, I found a person who made me more excited, more fired up than baseball. The hottest summer in history was beginning, and my age twenty was following suit just like the season. It was the summer of 1994.” - Chilbong
For the past 20 years Chilbong had his one-sided love towards Najeong. He confessed for how many times but still got no response from Najeong. At the end of the drama I just realized that Najeong can’t be a lover to Chilbong. What she can really offer to Chilbong is to be a good friend, in which it caused a heartbreak to Chilbong.
“FIRST LOVE NEVER DIES” or “TRUE LOVE LASTS FOREVER” - this must be the living quotes for the whole drama.

“First love = First Heart Break” - he ended up with that girl who bumped him while on his way to Sincheon Boarding House? Hmmmm~ yeah right. Okay. Fine. For formality sake. But yeah, it was great that Chilbong had his wife who can love him back.
“Without a father, without a mother, with just baseball alone I was plenty busy and warm. I always thought loneliness was just an emotion that found people who didn’t lead intense lives. But one day at age twenty, the day I began to empty out a space for her, that space felt hollow and began to feel cold. That this was loneliness, and that I was a very lonely person—I had only now begun to realize. Because I was lonely I missed her, and because I missed her I was lonelier.” - Chilbong
I seriously cried a lot while watching the last episodes of the drama especially on the part that Chilbong was crying helplessly. He must be the most pitiful character on the drama. He doesn’t have his parents beside him. He only have his baseball to accompany him. Remember when he had his interview and he said to the kids of Sincheon Boarding House “Yah! It’s my Birthday today, how come you guys didn’t know? I greeted you when it’s your birthday” . On the same day, he gave Najeong a cake and she was clueless why Chilbong gave her a cake. When he was hospitalized, Najeong took care of him and he keeps on asking or requesting so many things to Najeong, its like being hospitalized was his only hope to be with Najeong after that BOOOOOOOOOOM! GOODBYE NAJEONG. Najeong asked him if his arm still hurts that much then he answered “Yes, its still the same”, but I bet he wants to add “Yes its still the same but my heart is more aching because of you” .Up to the last , he didn’t care if he will look stupid, but then he discharged himself because he doesn’t want Najeong to care for him anymore. (Well as we can see, Najeong was always beside Chilbong but her heart and mind was thinking Trash because he was sick, and it hurts Chilbong so much).

Yeah, Najeong finally ended Chilbong’s hope. But Chilbong was also about to set her free that time.
“It isn’t over till it’s over. But if it’s a game that has no end, I have to end it myself. If it’s something that 10,000 hours of heartache can’t achieve, then for her sake, I have to lay my heart down. I have to begin the end.” -Chilbong
I just thought that the staff showered us with so many Chilbong and Najeong cute scenes from episode 18 - 20, then it will make Najeong a change of heart but then I was wrong. Even though Chilbong exerted a 100000000000000000000000000 effort at the end of the day, he will still be alone.
LMAO. You guys are great. Nice observation. Well, me too. (Obviously, the upper part the groom was Chilbong, while on the lower part its Trash) I just have one question for the staff about this picture. That was, On episode 18, why did they showed Chilbong & Najeong wedding picture if the end game was Trash and Najeong? Hmmmm~~ something’s fishy.
