BONES POSITIVE (July 2014) was supposed to be our part of a three-way split album. This was the follow up to HIDDEN MAGIC REVIVAL with mostly the same band. @joeallencross was kind enough to drum and record this. This was really fun to make and some standout songs that we loved to play live. Short and to the point.

Finding hope while still seeing the painful reality in the matters of our daily lives. Learning from that pain to find out what we truly want and need to realize what makes us happy. Posi-death vibes.

After surviving a gang assault in November 2010, security being shattered, and self image destroyed… I stopped playing/writing music. It was a slow process back (should have gone to therapy and not self medicated the entire time). 2012 was supposed to be the end of the world. I wanted to make one last good album to show God that I learned some things, loved, hated, lived. HIDDEN MAGIC REVIVAL (December 2012). I met my wife and fell in love while recording this album. The thing about endings is that lead to new beginnings.

HIDDEN MAGIC REVIVAL features contributions from over thirteen Plattsburgh, New York musicians, including members of local groups like Eat Sleep Funk, Long Cat, Doomfuck, Marco Polio and more. Recording for the album began in early 2012 and took place entirely in the downtown Plattsburgh residence of Matthew Hall, who engineered and produced the album with Christopher Rigsbee. The songs presented are an eclectic mix of folk, rock, pop, jazz and more, with Rigsbee leading a diverse and lively band that utilizes horns, strings, keys and percussion to relay their message.

ISN’T FOREVER (December 2009) was an end of a big year of tours, album releases, and more drunken heartbreak. I genuinely thought that this would be the last AA album. It has those feels. An chapter closed. It sounds like a nice blend of GRUNGE POSITIVE and TINY TINY CONVERSATIONS. All things do end but some not so soon.

Today, we look back on GRUNGE POSITIVE (June 2009). Recorded in four states: Texas, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and New York. Features sounds made by Christopher Jay Stott-Rigsbee, Chantelle Lebeau, Justin Passino, Matt Zeppieri, Corey Collins, and Andrew Settevendemio.

“Grunge Positive is the process in between the beer, your belly and that stream of pee from the rooftops, the molding of the food that lies in the cracks of your car seats, the crack between your stove and the wall, the feeling you get when you’re talking to a friend late in the night and it makes you feel like a lit up tree. and any boundaries between his experiences with the world, and his music are probably about as small as these cracks. Be thankful if you are one of his lab rats and listen to the creation.”

From March 2008, AND THE SEARCH FOR COLD FIRE was recorded mostly in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. This album was a big step in maturity and probably the best self recorded AA album. A personal fav, lot of live show favorites from this one.

In a mission of self discovery, battle with loneliness, overshadowing death and the undying hope for the future; Adrian Aardvark moved to Texas in January of 2008 and began working on songs that encompassed more of the big picture. Hundreds of birds sang outside his window and inspired him to keep singing every day. Now, the search continues for cold fire and everything between certainty and uncertainty.
