Sunsets and beer
Found in abundance throughout the Northern U.S. and Canada the Little Brown Bat lives in colonies also known as roosts. On average these bats can weigh an ounce and have a wingspan between 8-10inches. Females are typically larger than males. The Little Brown Bats are insectivores meaning their diet consists of mostly insects which they hunt using echolocation after dusk because they are nocturnal animals. These animals are considered model organisms and are used by scientist to study echolocation (National Wildlife Foundation 2017).
