Now that my studio time is limited by my 40-hour-a-week work schedule, I’m spending more time with my sketchbook in between my shifts. Here’s an ink drawing of hundreds of soft, cellular shapes. I was thinking about blood cells, barnacles, and single-celled organisms, plus islands, of course. I’m always thinking about islands.
