Naivety isn't always bad

“That’s definitely not the case.” He sighed, trying to defend himself, almost as if he had not noticed her teasing. “It’s just a little difficult at the moment.” He rubbed the back of his neck with a sigh.

“Hey, I was only teasing. It’s okay, I can see that you’re distracted.” She explained feeling a little guilty for winding him up. “Are you okay?”

He looked at her for a moment, shaking his head in response. “I think we both know the answer to that, there’s enough to occupy anyone’s mind.”

“So it is that I’m boring you.” She teased trying to make him smile. “You can’t let it all consume you.”

“I am sure they’re not missing them.” A small smile found its way to his lips and he shook his head. “Can’t be that important.”

“I’d have thought that they’d notice that they were missing but it appears not.” She grinned as she looked up at him. Taking them gently from her ears, she instead placed them round her neck like she had seen a few of the doctors do. “Well, I can’t say I was expecting to see you here. Not that I’m surprised that is.”

“Well if they didn’t want others using them then they shouldn’t leave them lying around.” She smiled at the other. “I was curious is all.”

    “I honestly didn’t hear a word of what you just said.” He confessed, sighing with a shrug.

“Mind else where or am I just boring you?” Her head tilted to the side curiously.
