Valentine’s Prep from Stroller In The City

This year, Brianne decided to get a head start on the planning and decorating. The kids usually hand out Valentine’s to their buddy’s in school, and mail some to friends who live far away. With the help of Pinterest, they decided to make homemade cards, which look like kids are handing you a lollipop. It’s super simply and they got a huge kick out of making their own Valentines. 

Llove giving the kids a little something during these special jubilees. Most of the time, I give them a little chocolate heart, but a few weeks ago, I saw this adorable LOVE Blanket from Little Giraffe and couldn’t resist. It’s perfect for cozy movie nights, and the pink and white colors match Gemma’s crib decor, so she can use it all the time.

Traven Family Baskets: Recognizing the Importance of Children's Play Time

Designing for children involves a careful and sensitive approach, not only in terms of safety for the infant but also in seeking to resolve existing circumstances and moments in everyday life of a contemporary family, where children occupy a prime position.

From this point of view Traven has been created. A set of furniture for children and parents composed of an armchair, a stool and a toybox. Each of these units contains guidelines defined by various factors including the design, choice of materials and the ability to adapt as needed.

This design is the result of Christian Vivanco's collaboration with  Nido Muebles, a company dedicated to the development an appropriate environment for children at home.

Art Turned on its Head for Children at the NGV with Pastello

The art of drawing will be turned on its head this May when the National Gallery of Victoria’s Children’s Gallery is given over to the creative and absurdist talents of Melbourne-based Italian design duo Erika Zorzi and Matteo Sangalli of Mathery Studio. Creating dedicated spaces that subvert the act of drawing, children will be invited to upend themselves, draw with crayon embellished shoes, use cutlery to leave their marks on tables and wear a crayon-clad helmet and let their heads do the drawing.

Artist Transforms Kids Drawings Into Plush Toys

In 2007, Vancouver-based artist Wendy Tsao saw her 4-year-old son’s drawing and decided to do something truly amazing: make a child’s imaginary characters real. Using her son’s drawing as inspiration, she created a plush toy in the same image and likeness. Since then, she’s been turning children’s drawings all around the world into plushies.
