It was crowded in the Moonlight and Nina was trying to find a place to sit or at least a table with a free chair. She could just pull it over to where one of her friends were, but it seemed like everyone had the same idea to come out tonight. The blonde turned smacking straight first into someone’s back and letting out a noise of surprise. “Sorry” Nina replied realizing she had bumped right into Adriel. “ Adriel, hey! I promise I’m not always this blind. It’s so crowded tonight I’ve been having a hard time finding a seat”

The little noise that came from her had a chuckle fall past his lips with a quick huff. “You’re good.” His hands had instinctively moved up to her arms making sure she didn’t go losing her balance, letting go seconds after. She was right, the place was crowded which usually just meant it would be an entertaining night for him but he wasn’t so in the mood for all of it. “You sayin’ no one’s offerin’ up a seat for you?” His gaze bounced around the room for a moment before nodding in gesture. “Come on.” Leading them to the bar closest to where he could slip behind the bar. Before he did though, he grabbed the back of the shirt of the male sitting in the stool, dragging him up to his feet. “This seat’s taken.” That was all he said as he pushed him to send him off, watching the guy for a second till he walked off. “Look at that, empty seat.” Adriel smirked as he motioned for her to sit as he walked behind the bar. “What you goin’ for tonight?” He asked as he was already reaching to grab a beer for himself.

With the first chance to slip away from the devils stomping grounds. While it was a place he felt the most comfortable throughout the city, it wasn’t exactly where he had wanted to be recently with what had happened. Most would probably think coming together was exactly what was needed and sure, he could agree it was, but with his frustration towards it and having to stand idly by - that just never went well for Adriel. He was about ready to pick a fight with some random idiot off the street just to let off some steam - that and so he wouldn’t go letting it off on someone within the club, even if some low prospect could use a good kick in the ass. Stepping out of the small shop just half a block from moonlight, newly bought pack of cigarettes in hand he worked on picking one from the box. Shoving the rest away as he began walking back in the direction of the club, although he had yet to decide if he was actually returning or busying himself up another way. The sound of his name ( or something to catch his attention ) coming from behind him had him snapping the word loudly before he could even turn around. “What?” Mostly because as big as the city was, it was still somehow so fucking small.

There were few things that could force Malcolm into a suit, despite how the loudness all of his suits for such events may make it seem as if he enjoyed wearing them, and that was his friends or the chance to piss of a Devil. That night, he had the distinct pleasure of roving about the venue due to both. Casting a glance over at Payton, who had been the one to truly prompt his attendance that evening, Malcolm took note of those around his best friend. He had to gauge the level of threat his VP was facing as his SoA before letting his eyes take an appreciative sweep over Payton in a well-fitting suit now as the guy who had sucked him off in the back room of the Ace only a few days prior. Pulling his eyes from the other man, Malcolm scanned the rest of the crowd roving about.

The event was tense. Malcolm figured that everyone could feel it, even the civilians who were not quite sure what had truly gone done the past few weeks with the death of the detective and now the fire. Tensions were high and Malc was happy to make them higher. “Smells like smoke and a hell of a lot of pussy ass shit- no doubt there’s a demon nearby.” He drawled out loudly, dark eyes settling on a nearby figure.

When it came to drinks, Adriel had only had emptied a few glasses before hanging onto the last, nursing it for the past however long it had been now. Maneuvering through the crowd of people, his eyes were jumping from one to the next constantly trying to figure out just who he was around. The masks made it more difficult, sure, but not entirely impossible especially when he knew what to look for. Currently? It was the green dress burned into his mind at this point that Isabella was wearing. While he showed up with her, he knew better than to stick by her side when there were too many eyes that could create even more questions. He had stopped, placing his still filled glass down on the nearest surface while his eyes continued to take in the room. The words that came from the male just a few feet away pulled his attention, looking him up and down a moment. It took him a second to recall him, but once he did it only made what he had said that much more amusing. “I don’t know about any pussy ass shit.” He would’ve said it was usually affiliated with the those who followed old man Krongold but instead held onto it for now. “Just douse yourself in some holy water, you’ll be alright.” He remarked.

Jennifer’s eyes landed on the male almost instantly, a little smirk came along her lips as she waited for him to make his way towards the bar, knowing the male would eventually end up there. Once he started heading in her direction, her posture straightened and she let her eyes rest on him, making sure the shamefully let her gaze drift down him then slowly back up at him. “You clean up nicely, Romas,” she mused with a devilish grin on her lips. “But you know that tux would look so much better on your floor.”

Looking down at himself as if he had to take what she said and give it any real thought, he shrugged looking back over at her. La demonia princesa, as Adriel liked to think of her which wasn’t necessarily bad, at least in the way he meant it. She could get heads to turn regularly so he was sure she was enjoying herself tonight, looking as stunning as she did but he’d keep that thought to himself. “Yeah? Your date must be lacking but I’m willing to get you where he can’t.” If she had one anyway, it wasn’t like he knew, simply assumed she would be on walking into something like this on someones arm.

The room moved a mile a minute around the pair of male’s as they stood at the farthest end of the bar in the center of the room. Their arrival into the venue held no fail or projected aggression sent his way although his inked neck was a dead give away of identity. A metal clad finger began to tap aimlessly against the glass within a tightened grasp before his eyes shifted to make out potential rivaling members. 

A deepened sigh came from his lips when no detectable face was before the glass raised to allow the liquid courage to trail down his throat. His jaw clenched at the bitter aftertaste before his tongue ran over the straightened row of teeth. “¿Crees que saldremos vivos de esto?” The male signaled his question to Adriel with a tilt of his half empty glass before the corners of his mouth tauntingly pulled upwards.

Nodding as a gesture when a newly filled glass was set down in front of him, he took it into his grasp raising it up to his lips. Once he pulled it away he turned his body around to look out at the crowd behind him now, leaning back against the bar. His eyes took in everyone, for various reasons but most of all, looking to spot anyone of importance just as he assumed most others who knew better were also currently doing. “Yo, si,” With a tilt of his head, he brought his glass up once again, hovering close to his lips. “Pero con ese tatuaje?” Inhaling sharply he took another swig. “Van a venir por ti primero y te voy a dejar.” His lips pulled up with the temptation to laugh because he knew how full of shit that statement was. Tossing his position aside, Adriel would stand beside Miguel to their downfall simply because, business or not. Once you had his loyalty it could, surprisingly, surpass his own selfishness - which was saying a lot considering the lengths he’d go to for his own benefit. “Nah,” he shook his head. “Quiero ver a alguien intentar algo.”

Nina had to admit the whole mysterious quality of being in masks had a certain allure to it. She liked the whole idea of it because of the slight Romeo and Juliet vibes and while she hoped tonight didn’t end the same way as the play, there was a magical quality to it all. It also made her realize she hadn’t noticed who was in front of her when she turned a corner. “ Adriel! Hi! I almost missed you there” She smiled brightly towards the man and looked him over. “You look so handsome. “ She noted, hoping that he didn’t take that like he didn’t look handsome other times, which wasn’t true, but that she was just giving compliments when they were due.

Mask and suit? Yeah, anyone could miss him within the crowd considering it wasn’t something you’d catch him in regularly. He supposed it was a good thing all things considering but at the same time it felt like people were looking more closely at everyone around them. At least the ones taking account of who was where and how easily something lavish can turn into a disaster. “And you’re too beautiful for your own good.” Which could be said about her any other night as well. He glanced over his shoulder when he heard other footsteps coming around the corner, but when there was no recognition he turned back to give her his full attention. “Who left you unattended?” He realized it sounded like she was a child meant to be watched but that wasn’t at all how he meant it, simply wondering if she showed up with someone or not.

Liz just needed a break, from the people, the noise, even the smell of the building was throwing her off. She stepped out into the night air, leaning against the building with a hand on her stomach and her eyes closed. Taking a few breaths of the cool night air, when she heard the door open she went back to being on high alert, until she saw a face that she recognized. “You can’t smoke around me, so if that’s why you’re out here, I’ll need you to take a few steps back.” The woman said with a slight teasing tone in her voice.

Straightening up when his eyes caught sight of the other figure, it was an automatic reaction, assuming it was foe rather than a friendly. As soon as he took in who it was, his shoulders relaxed. He stepped out fully, allowing the door to shut behind him as his lips tugged up in a crooked smile. “Guess i’m shit outta luck then.” He would’ve lit up by now if she weren’t around but he didn’t plan to now purely out of respect, which was a rarity in itself. Leaning up against the side of the building without a second thought to how that might dirty his suit, his eyes took her in. “You good?” Wondering what reason out of the many that there felt there were, had her out here currently.

Camille’s fingers tapped against the glass she was holding, Gabriel had gone off to mingle which was fine by her, the male deserved it since he had to see the love of his life hanging onto someone else which probably wasn’t easy and it wasn’t like she didn’t know how that felt. She chewed on her lower lip as she let her eyes run over the crowd. Something like this would have felt more normal before the lockdown, before the transfer… maybe before all of it but now it felt like she had to keep her guard up. She lifted her eyes up towards the male walking in her direction, a small smile coming along her lips. “Adriel,” she said as she moved her hands out towards him. “Wow, I didn’t know you even owned a tux.”

Despite the relaxed demeanor he carried, Adriel wasn’t about to have his guard down in such a setting. His eyes were constantly wandering around, taking in the sea of people. He could play the part well enough to look as though he was at least somewhat enjoying himself although, the suit surely didn’t help in that department. The mask even less, already wanting to rip it off and toss it aside. Maybe that was just the itching feeling of wanting to break their spirits ( or bones ) even more, he couldn’t tell anymore. That only proved that the representation of wrath would have been better suited for him but he wasn’t about to go out of his way for the evening. This wasn’t a party for him. However, the sight of the crimson dress that hugged her frame in all the right places was a welcomed distraction as he approached her, taking her in fully the closer he got. “I didn’t.” Which was the truth, whether he had worn them before or not, they typically never ended up in the best condition be it from being torn or blood stains among other things. The same hand that was itching to do damage managed to reach out and gently take some of the fabric of her dress, running down along it only for a second before ultimately falling back to his side. “Te ves hermosa, como siempre.” He glanced past her and around them. “So I know you ain’t showin’ up alone.”
