bryn rolled her eyes, letting out a soft sigh that was starting to hint at growing frustration. as amusing as this all had been, she learned that adrien wasn’t actually that fun to mess with since he was completely at a loss for picking up on the hints she was throwing out at him. then again, how would he have known? “i know this is going to blow your mind and everything, but poe dameron himself is a general and the war is over,” she said. “nothing here really makes sense, does it? but, you just gotta open your mind a bit more and accept that things might not make sense, but they’re totally true,” she advised, playing wavering her finger.
At her words, Adrien’s jaw dropped, but he quickly closed it. Poe was a general where she came from? Although it made sense, since the man was definitely a leader, it still came as a shock to his system. What came as more of a shock was that the war was over in her time. That was all he’d wanted, but in his time the war was only just beginning. “So, Poe’s your dad huh? That explains a lot.” It likely explained why she had approached him at the ball in the first place; but it also explained why he felt drawn to her. Poe was one of his closest friends. “And even though the war may be over in your time, it’s just beginning in mine.” Of course, there wasn’t really much he could do to help the Resistance now that he was here. “You’re right.” Nothing in the town did make sense; hell some people didn’t even think the Force made sense. But it was still true.
