valxria-richxrds:
“your claws working for ya too then?”
“yes, they seem to function just fine.” she replied, absently tracing her fingers over her knuckles.Â
thebetterhawk:
“Hard pass. Hard pass. I take back my request.”
“ultimately it’s a pretty good way not to die, though.”Â
givesadxmn:
“I’m tough, but I don’t regenerate. Learned that the hard way.”
“how tough?” she was genuinely curious.
bringerofliight:
“you can heal yourself? do you cast spells to enhance your health or is of a more biological nature?”
“i don’t know any spells but i do know it’s biological--------cellular reconstruction at a rapid rate.”
thebetterhawk:
“Wanna share that?”
“the last person to get a healing factor from someone with my genes was Wade. you may want to rethink that.”
givesadxmn:
“I could use on of those.”
      “it’s convenient in battle.”Â
“alright, i’ll admit, it’s good to have a healing factor again.”Â
Elizabeth found herself flipping between channels for the thousandth time. On nearly every local channel, there was the same thing — news reports about the infamous Scarlet Witch and Jean Grey’s arrest. To add more fuel to that fire, mutants all over were either losing their powers or having issues with them. Betsy said a silent prayer to any god that listened, thanking them that she remained unaffected. There was too much chaos at the moment, too much instability.
That left the X-Men vulnerable and there was no telling who would aim at the target on their backs. With a sigh the warrior rose, pushing across the room to the nearest window. “That Witch has gone and ruined everything. How are ever going to bounce back from this?” She said to the person nearest to her.Â
she was human. her healing factor was gone, proof of the splitting headache inside her skull and the bruises on her skin. laura wasn’t sure how she felt about the loss of her abilities----------her mind was too busy replaying the fresh memories of the facility and her time with the other girls over and over again. even before the perfect world she thought she’d finally gotten past this.Â
with her knees tucked to her chest and her arms wrapped around them, she allowed her gaze to drift from the tv to the other woman. “things were pretty ruined before.” she replied quietly.Â
“You work years to get over something and then in two seconds it all comes flooding back. Thanks, reality.”
      “are you okay?”
“While I am not technically a member of your world’s government, I could try and put in a good word for you if that is what you wished.”
“thanks, my life of crime is bound to catch up with me eventually though.”Â
“Incoming!” Gwen shouted as she jumped down from the third story of a nearby building, landing gracefully on the ground a few seconds later.Â
“holy shit, dude. ---------do you do that to everyone?”
“Everyone is too eager to jump from one holiday to the next.”
      “but halloweenis the best holiday.”
“hey, if people can start talking about christmas this early, then i can get spooky  for halloween this early.”
@thewxntersoldiier .
the house was full, to say the least-----but it was nice of clint to let them stay there. she was pretty sure it was doing more harm than good, at least when it came to his personal items, anyway. but he hadn’t kicked them out so, there was that. sometimes----most times-----things got too loud so she went outside, another perk was that clint’s place was buried in the woods. she stopped short when she entered the barn, hands buried into the pockets of her sweater. she hadn’t really seen each other since everything went to hell------she supposes nows a good a time as any. “Hi.” yep, that’s it.Â
