He found a great measure of pride in that thought. A lifetime of memories flashed before his eyes. The life before. The one he had left behind. Try as he might he would never be able to forget. His feet would always long for the winding paths of the woods. His ears for the wild sounds of the forest. 

They were both strangers in a strange land, cast out to make their mark upon this new world and together they would. 

They could not fail.
